Linux Mint es una excelente distribución, la podemos descargar de su página web en 3 sabores o interfaces gráficas diferentes, Cinnamon, XFCE ó MATE. Se dice que la mas completa es Cinnamon, y las otras dos son mucho mas ligeras, por lo que se recomiendan en computadoras con bajos recursos.

Todo comenzó, al querer instalar COMPIZ, una herramienta para mejorar notablemente la interfaz gráfica en Linux, trae muchos efectos bonitos, que se ven geniales. Pero resulta que no es compatible con Cinnamon, pero hay que destacar que, si es posible usar COMPIZ con las interfaces XFCE, y MATE (siendo esta la mejor para instalar dicha utilidad o herramienta gráfica).

Debido a que no es posible usar COMPIZ en Cinnamon, decidí probar las extensiones de la interfaz. Estás sirven para agregar mejoras o efectos. Hay algunas que son interesantes, otras no muy buenas, en realidad son muy pocas.

Llegamos al punto que quiero dar a conocer, así como dice el título NO INSTALES LA EXTENSIÓN “SLIDER”, por una razón simple, está ROTA, cuando la activas vuelve invisible todas las ventanas, pero hay que destacar, aunque no las veamos están allí.

Si no has llegado a tiempo con la advertencia de no instalar SLIDER, y cometiste ese error, no te preocupes. Te traigo una excelente solución y es lo que muestro en el vídeo.

Debo confesar que fue un problema, pero logré resolver, y después fue que leí otras soluciones, y debo destacar, la mía es la más sencilla, aún así me parece bueno conocer las otras.

En resumen, para solucionar debes visualizar la posición del botón “Desactivar” y pulsarlo. Eso es todo.
