Unveiling The Dark Side Of An Invention.

The World is what it is today, thanks to the creative inventions of different people across the world, a lot of these inventions are been upgraded from time to time and they have greatly impacted the human race in one way or the other. Life has become more enjoyable and easy with these inventions compared to what it used to be in the past. I have lived through decades and seen a lot of difference between now and then.

There are times when I think about what life would have looked like for our forefathers when they had to use a hoe to cultivate the land and also protect themselves with spears, it must have been tough but they would be happy because they were doing better than their forefathers too.

Before 2010, making calls to international countries was challenging. Phone centers that offered such service weren't much and you still have to pay a huge sum of much to make those calls. Years passed and making international calls became something that we could do from the comfort of our homes which many people didn't think would happen soon but it did.

Numerous inventions have made a lot of things easy and that's why I admire the positive impact of these inventions but some inventions have harmed the human race as well and I always referred to them as a weapon of mass destruction. I have always believed that there are two sides to life which are the good and bad, they are just inevitable and always together. While many inventions have helped humanity, some have taken away a lot from us and I always wondered why they were created in the first place.

The craving for power is one of the things that has driven the world crazy and that's why the world is experiencing lots of challenges today. People want to be seen as God so they go at any length to make people worship them. The first time I read about how disastrous nuclear weapons are, fear struck my heart because I couldn't believe that someone would think about developing something of such when there are things that the human race still lacks.

The invention of nuclear weapons changed the fate of the human race and it has caused setbacks aside from even its ability to destroy. The cost of building nuclear weapons aren't cheap and it's sad to know that the government of different countries would rather invest in it than use the funds for the growth and development of the country.

They want to become the most powerful and they keep pushing themselves to the extreme while they leave pressing issues unattended to in the country.

Today, issues like unemployment, lack of education for children, disease and many others are part of the struggles or problems we share globally and instead of tackling them, government engage in the race of superiority. It should be about a better government, the type that other countries should emulate but it's the other way around because every government across the world is after power and money to fortify themselves more.

During the Covid lockdown, An Asian president flaunted his country's newly invented nuclear weapon and I was like, is this what the world needs at the moment? And because of what was happening back then, I was worried a war could break out because it was the perfect time to strike each other because the economy of different countries have been crippled back then.

The nuclear weapon is a crazy invention and it drives its owner crazy as well because they always have the confidence of starting or going into a war. Countries need protection, we need to protect lives and properties but not with nuclear weapons. Guns and other weapons were created for this purpose so why nuclear weapons? What do we need them for?

I don't know why it was invented in the first place but nothing justifies it because all I see with the invention of nuclear weapons is greed and power. It would have been great if governments could divert the money spent on developing nuclear weapons into boosting the economy and solving more pressing issues.

To date, everything that happened in Hiroshima should have taught the world a lesson that building more nuclear weapons isn't what we need because even if the world makes progress, these weapons will always drag us back terribly. Governments need to prioritize the well-being of people and the development of nations over the pursuit of power and destructive capabilities.

To be honest sometimes I think Albert Einstein is the person because of what nuclear weapon invented. This is the thing I didn't like about Albert Einstein. But it doesn't mean nuclear fusion don't have any work. Because of nuclear energy massive amount of electricity can be produced. But when it's about weapon the destruction is huge. Japan faced the first blow because of nuclear weapon for the first time.

That's why I mentioned that there are good and bad sides to every invention. Somehow we are benefiting from nuclear power but when it becomes a weapon, its level of destruction is terrible. Even terrible is an understatement.

Unfortunately, the countries that possess these weapons are the most powerful ones, some even say that they have them to contribute to world peace, they also say that they are defense mechanisms against aggressor powers.

What I believe is that they want to show superiority, that people are afraid of them because they have the key to destroy countries and people.

They are not concerned with people and their education, but with interests that will keep them in power for a long time.

You are right sir and I still do not understand how developing nuclear weapon brings peace to the world. Globally, I think all we have are governments with misplaced priorities.

I wonder what they want from inventing such thing while people in the country are suffering no jobs no money and all their taxes are being used to invent nuclear weapons

The money spent on all these weapons can be used for something more meaningful and productive but no, they won't. They would rather squander the money on something that would destroy the world.

In as much that the thought to having created this was to help fight back, we need think about the risks involved in creating this nuclear weapons.
Well it is already in use and we can't change that

Honestly, if it was just about fighting back, we don't need nuclear weapons. Guns are enough because there are lots of sophisticated weapons out there but no, they want something that can wipe people out in one go. I only see greed and obsession with power.

To be fair, the fact that total destruction is guaranteed through atomic and nuke bombs guides how countries interact with each other. It is skewed but it is effective in a way. Nevertheless it is also important we channel our limited resources in the things that truly matter like poverty, human and education. These things can and will improve our collective lives
