Salvando el dia de mi restaurante preferido. Restaurando panquequera eléctrica.

Hola! Un placer poder saludarles. Antes que nada agradezco a @cre47iv3 por la invitación a esta comunidad. Cuando le conté que me gusta desarmar cosas me dijo que por aquí quizá resultaría interesante compartirlo.

Estaba planeando un post haciendo la limpieza de las teclas de mi piano eléctrico Pero tendrá que esperar.

¡El deber llamó a mi puerta!

En realidad era mi hermano… y por wpp.

En fin, la cuestión es que en un restaurante importante de Punta del Este, donde mi hermano trabaja en mantenimiento, se les rompió una de sus panquequeras eléctricas. Así que sabiendo que eso de desarmar y jugar con la electricidad me divierte, Emi me pidió una mano. Siendo además para uno de mis restaurantes preferidos donde su especialidad son los creps. Imposible negarme.

El estado de los equipos era deplorable. A simple vista, las conexiones de las resistencias estaban en la ruina. De verdad que es increíble pensar que esto estaba en funcionamiento.

Todo comenzó con una limpieza profunda.

Luego de chequear los componentes, en realidad todo estaba funcional. Tocaría rehacer las conexiones de las resistencias y ver porque algunas de ellas estaban dando continuidad con la plancha al testearlas (que terrible para los trabajadores de esa cocina, pudo pasar cualquier cosa)

Aquí me enfrente de la mayor dificultad: No se consigue la pieza y el restaurante necesita la panquequera en el día. Toco improvisar comprando repuestos de un calefón y dados de cerámica.

Luego cambie los cables por otros con forro siliconado para soportar temperatura. Eso más el forro térmico. Ayudará a soportar los 300 grados que levanta esa plancha. 8 horas al día sin descanso.

El resultado... tras una noche de desvelo logré entregar el equipo a tiempo. Y aparte de haber ganado unos pesos, Iré luego como héroe anónimo a disfrutar de mis creps con dulce de leche. Pero ahora con doble satisfacción

It all started with a deep cleaning.

After checking the components, everything was actually functional. It would be necessary to redo the connections of the resistors and see why some of them were giving continuity with the iron when testing them (how terrible for the workers in that kitchen, anything could have happened)

Here I faced the greatest difficulty: I couldn't get the piece and the restaurant needed the pancake maker that day. I have to improvise by buying spare parts for a water heater and ceramic cubes.

Then change the cables for others with silicone lining to withstand temperature. That plus the thermal lining. It will help withstand the 300 degrees that that iron raises. 8 hours a day without rest.

The result... after a sleepless night I managed to deliver the equipment on time. And apart from having earned a few pesos, I will go later as an anonymous hero to enjoy my crepes with dulce de leche. But now with double satisfaction
