Monomad:the unfortunate female who is freezing
hello black and white friends
Today I’m back with a topic that I like, which is insect hunting with macro photography. The weather today is very cloudy and the air is very cold even though it’s already approaching midday. If we look up at the sky, it’s very dark, as if it’s about to rain. I’m not sure if it’s really midday; the sun is completely hidden by such thick black clouds. The weather today still feels like morning. Usually, I never need to wear a jacket in the afternoon, but today I have to wear one because it’s so cold.
While looking around to see if there was anything I needed to photograph, it turned out that on top of one of the decayed trees in my backyard, there was an unfortunate female shivering from the cold, making her unable to be active today. Her body was slightly trembling, yet she looked very beautiful today—one of the insects, a pale tussock moth species or Calliteara pudibunda, was feeling cold. Not only humans, but several insect species also experience what humans feel.
