Fungi Friday:they are almost extinct

hello mushroom hunting friends

Finally, we can meet again in this amazing community. Recently, in our area, we are entering a summer season with temperatures above average, making mushroom species nearly invisible in the bushes. The hot temperatures have caused some hard mushroom species to be almost extinct, whereas these types of mushrooms usually can survive for several months. However, not this year; the long drought is breaking records in our area at the moment, with almost four months without any signs of rain. It's not just mushrooms that miss the rain; plants are also in great need of it. It's very noticeable how some old plants, like coffee plants, have already wilted leaves. As a result, many farmers in our area have not planted easy crops this year due to the prolonged drought that continues to persist. Let's return to the main topic, the hard mushroom species I found has dried out, and some are nearly extinct.

Like a type of mushroom that I found yesterday in the bushes, the hairy hexagonia mushroom or this species of hairy hexagonal mushroom, in general, does not look like the one in the picture during the rainy season. From its color shape, this species of mushroom stands out and looks very beautiful. The small holes on the back of its body are very sweet, making everyone miss this mushroom. However, when I saw this species of mushroom yesterday, it was slightly wilted and its aura was not like usual. I only picked its gills because the front part was no longer suitable for me to preserve. That's why I feel bad seeing the mushrooms starting to dry out because of the heat of the sun every day. The sky is very bright; how can they survive? Perhaps some of them grow in dense forests that are not exposed to sunlight, but it is very difficult to find them.

I hardly wanted to leave the house yesterday because there was no shelter for us in the garden, but I remembered that it was Friday, the time for me to post about mushroom hunting, and my enthusiasm to go outside began to return, although in my heart I wondered where I should look for them, since their usual spots like the decaying logs were no longer visible, all the twigs were dry, I wondered if they were still there, I wasn’t 100% sure that I would find them yesterday. Little by little, I walked through the logs in the bushes, but there were no signs that they were here. My eyes scanned every corner, but from a distance I saw a tree lying in the middle of the garden; this tree had been felled a long time ago. I looked closely and saw that the trunk was very fragile, and at the end of this tree, there was a species of tough mushroom attached to it, the blushing bracket mushroom belongs to the category of,At the end of this tree, there is a species of hard mushroom attached to it, the blushing bracket mushroom belongs to a type of mushroom that grows on trees, but this time I see that its flesh is truly regrettable, perhaps in a few days if it doesn't rain, it may become extinct.

I almost gave up on hunting yesterday. After wandering around in one of the bushes for a few minutes, there were no signs of mushrooms at all in the area I was hunting. It is indeed sometimes not easy to hunt mushrooms during the dry season. There was a possibility I wanted to go home, but on the other hand, I had to search for them again. I am used to being tired from hunting as it is part of my job right now. Maybe this week I cannot present you with any tiny mushrooms, but I promise that if it starts to rain next week, I am sure the tiny mushrooms will begin to appear again in the bushes. This particular mushroom I didn't want to photograph because its texture is starting to wrinkle all over its body. On one hand, I think I do not want to leave it behind, even though it looks ugly. This saprophytic mushroom is no longer able to survive; it will disappear, but unfortunately, I won’t be able to see it again tomorrow. I will hold on, even though.
