Our community has been fortunate enough to grow very rapidly. Indeed, it has outpaced my expectations, as I did not think we’d be reaching this many members until next year at the very least! Yet, it has now come time to make the decision of how I will classify our “inaugural members.”

Who are our Inaugural Members?

Thus far, our inaugural members consist of all of those who became members of the community. We’ve typically tagged all of our inaugural members in announcement posts (with the exception of those who requested to not be tagged). The tagging is important, as we consider this role important in decision-making and informing the members of the community who have helped build it from the ground up.

All inaugural members have received 1 HSBI per month of membership within the community.

Additionally, it is pertinent to note that some of our inaugural members have used more than one account as members of the community – and that’s ok! All accounts receive 1 HSBI per month.

A Limitation on Inaugural Members

The cost of sending out HSBI to our members has increased at a rapid pace, and has primarily come out of my pocket. I don’t mind this at all because it’s been healthy for the community.

However, I also believe that it’s time to set a practical limit to whom we will consider inaugural members.

Thus, I am officially setting the limit as 500 unique members of the community.

This means that once we have 500 unique individuals who have joined and remain as members of the community, we will cap them as inaugural members. Unless any of those original members leave the community, no new members will receive HSBI for joining, and they will also not be tagged.

Thus, we will likely end up with a little bit more than 500 accounts receiving HSBI rewards and being tagged. If you currently have more than one account, please do let us know which ones you have. This will make it easier for us to keep count!

Exclusions from the List

We have had a small number of members who were blacklisted from HSBI on the criteria of the quality of their posts. Currently, this quality limitation, as decided by the HSBI program creator, is that posters cannot plagiarize or post content that consists of almost no original content.

These members will still be tagged (unless removed from tagging upon request), but will not receive HSBI unless they are removed from HSBI’s blacklist. If removed from the blacklist due to an improvement in posting quality, we’ll still consider them as inaugural members, and thus have slightly over 500 inaugural members.

Conclusion

We’re growing at such a fast rate that less than a year into this community’s existence, we’ve already decided to cap our inaugural members at 500 unique members! I strongly encourage you to join us before we hit this cap so that you can enjoy the permanent benefits of early membership.
