The 21st Century has been unarguably marked as the advent of Technological discoveries. Many technological inventions that are essential to mankind have emerged over these years. Tremendously, the 21st century has witnessed great technological discoveries that have transformed various aspects of our lives.

Am I trying to say that there were no remarkable technological inventions in the previous centuries? Of course not. The previous centuries, just like the present, have also witnessed their own spectacular technological innovations that were quite relevant in their own time.

However, regardless of how useful those innovations were, they do not match the glory and the intelligence that modern technological developments wield and their relevance.

Modern inventions such as the internet, social media, artificial intelligence, smart phones, cloud computing, internet of things, Blockchain and Cryptocurrency, 3D printing, to mention but a few, have remarkably made life more meaningful in modern times.

Putting the technological inventions of the present century and those of the previous centuries side by side, I think the present's are most preferred and they are befitting for this age because , whereas the technologies that were available in past centuries were largely mechanical and analog, modern technologies are digital and software-based.

One good thing about these modern innovations is that they are not profession-biased- each profession has its own modern technological developments that it is benefitting from.

When the Purpose of an Invention is not Understood, Abuse Becomes a Norm

I have watched several video clips on the internet and I have also witnessed how some humans used the internet to promote animal cruelty, and, anytime I see that, I do wish that there was a kind of an international agreement between the nations of the world to punish narcist who are always in the habit of using the internet to promote animal cruelty.

The internet was not invented for this, it is only people who do not know what it was meant for that misused it.

Content Over Human Sympathy

About a week ago, I went to do my final year screening in school and the procedure to get thousands of students screened was unnecessarily strenuous due to a disorganized system that we have here. The atmosphere was so hot due to the fact that the space provided for the students who came for the screening was very small. As a result, one of the students fainted in the process and surprisingly, instead of those who were around her to look for a way to resuscitate her, the brought out their phones and started making video of her for contents.

I do not know whether this is applicable in developed countries, but here in my country, so many people prefer using their phones to create contents out of pathetic situations that would rather demand them to show human sympathy and kindness.

The ChatGPt and its Equivalent Are not Even Exempted

I got to know about this innovation and its equivalent in my second year in the university and it has become one of the greatest dependable (inspite of its shortcomings) research tools that has been of a great help to me in supplying me with information for assignments and academic research works.

I believe that modern innovations such as the ChatGPt, AI chatbox, bard, etc, were invented to aid students and researchers in their research works, but many students would rather prefer to use these tools to cheat in examination than use it to prepare and do research for that examination ahead of time.

The Internet Has Been Infiltrated with Internet Fraudsters, which demands that one has to be wary of the kind of information he or she passes on the internet and the kind of people they get into a business deal with.

The list is endless.

While we continue to enjoy these technological innovations, we must do so judiciously so that we don't find ourselves using them out of purpose.
