What goes before a great down fall: The Zhuo Tale.

In the ancient Chinese dynasty, there was a very young man who rose to power through his god-given talent. This talent allows him to understand illness and then provide a solution. Due to this, many people from other countries have come to him for help, scholars and physicians have also come to learn from him, for he was known and also popular throughout the kingdom. The name of this man is Zhuo Fan.

Zhuo is a very bold man, for he has stood before many kings and mighty men; he has great possessions, and many great families wanted him as their personal physician. Zhuo always turns down this request, for he has the aim of making his name great and establishing his own family name.
When he was yet young, his mother was ill with a certain disease, and with no father to provide the herbs required, he lost her. She died in the morning and was buried in the noontime. The night she was buried, a strange phenomenon happened. While Zhuo was asleep, a mighty wind blew. The wind came as a storm and blew off his roof. The ranging storm took him up in the wind, and he found himself in a garden of light.

Zhuo stood up and walked around the garden. He looked around and found no one except the fruity trees and a little hunt in the middle of the garden. He was scared at first but then walked into the hut. Then a familiar voice spoke to him, saying, "You have stepped your foot in the divine realm without dying; you will go back to the world of the living with power and help mankind, but beware of pride. For pride leads men to destruction." He then woke from his slumber with his house intact. Since that day, the gift of healing and knowing disease took place in him.

After 20 years of hard work, he had established his name, and he had seven wives, 14 sons, and 11 daughters. Then one day Zhuo Fan thought to himself, "There is no greater man than me in the entire kingdom or in the world; I will take my fame to another country and establish myself there."

Zhuo Fan became so proud that he wouldn’t attend to any sick person; he collected people's lands and properties just to heal them of their illnesses; he had an army that helped him with his bidding's. Some people he refuses to help die eventually, and things like this don’t move me.

One day a young boy ran to the Zhuo family house gate and begged to see the master; he had a life-and-death urgency, he told the guard. The guards refused to let him in, and at that moment Zhuo was passing by. What's going on here?" he screamed. The young boy ran to him and held him at the tip of his robe, saying, "Master, please help my mother; she has been sick for a long time with no one to help. My father left us a while ago to get a physician he could avoid, and he is not back. Please help my mother, for her condition is worsening; I fear she might die." Zhuo became very angry at the words of the little boy because he had to sort for another physician. "Who is better than me?" he said. "Do you think that physician can heal her like I will?" Go home now, therefore, and wait for your father and his physician's arrival. If she dies, the blood is on your hand, little boy."

The little boy held onto his robe and kept on begging. He kicked the boy and requested his guards beat him before letting him go. The boy cried and said, "It wasn’t for you to take pride in yourself; you have lost your way and you are going to be destroyed." At that moment, Zhuo understood what the boy meant, for he had never told anyone about the garden. The boy ran, and he ran after the boy. At that moment, a great storm came, and it blew with a raging wind. Zhuo and the guard could not find the boy; the guard begged that they return home, but Zhuo refused and insisted that they find the boy and take him back with them. The guards tried to pull their master away, but he pushed them away. He went further into the storm, and a bright light from heaven came and struck him with lightning. After the death of Zhuo Fan, his family lost all their possessions, and he was not remembered for the good he did but only for the misfortune he caused.

So bad of zhuo indeed, he saw the picture of himself within the boy holding his robe but he was too blinded with pride

Wow. Such a sad tale to a man that should have been great. Pride will always be the reason why many people fall. And it's sad that Zhuo missed a chance of leaving a legacy due to his pride and arrogance. What a wonderful tale @fashtioluwa
