Saturday Savers Report Week #45

It's Monday, again, as I sit down to write #SaturdaySavers post for last week. The plan was to write on Sunday, but my weekend was so full various activities that I took Sunday to catch up on sleep and rest.

I had to scroll down my post to check, but indeed Week #34 was the last time I posted my savings report! Seeing that Week #45 has just ended yesterday it’s been 11 weeks, almost 3 months.

Wow! I know I took a bit of a break, but didn’t think it was this long since I summarised my progress. I guess one good side of it is that the progress should be more visible and the bad side is that it’s probably not all that big! 😁

Either way, let’s jump to the figures!

2023 LP and Newborn Cub status

My Leo Power is one goal that I kept my eye on very closely during the whole of 2023. I tried various ways of increasing my shash of #Leo:

• Writing long form posts on Leofinance (sporadically I may add 😉);

• Threading using both of my accounts;

• Delegating HP to @leo.voter;

• Curating threads for @hivegardenleo (curation account of @gardenhive community);

• Participating in #Zealy campaign;

• Buying $Leo from the market.

Threading and threads curation seem to be the most efficient ways for me to earn Leo, although I’d always buy some extra from the market too.

Sadly, in the recent month or so (probably since LF rebranding to INLeo) I have been experiencing many issues with using threads on my mobile. Either I had issues trying to login for couple weeks and once I was IN I am not able to curate any threads, as the voting menu doesn’t show for me. Whether I’m logged in using Hive Keychain or in normal browser using LeoAuth - both methods don’t allow for voting using either of my iPhones.

Sure, I could try to login using whatever else login ways that are available, but in truth I think that if these methods are available, everyone should be able to login and use threads just as everyone else. I have posted threads with questions about this issue several times over the past few weeks, but haven’t received any answer from the team, only from other users experiencing the same issue or those advising using yet another login method.

Well, I’ll be checking every few days and hoping one day it will get fixed. My goal of achieving Newborn Cub status and having 2023 LP by the end of 2023 still stands, but I’ll ponder whether I should set a Leo goal for 2024. Despite Leo’s low price it seems to be rather tricky to accumulate Leo tokens without continuously buying them from the market.

Nonetheless, on the 15th, of each month, throughout the whole of 2023 I have powered up a minimum of 150 Leo and I will contiue to do so till the end of this year. My total LP is now 1781 and I have 137 Leo ready to power up in 2 days. I’ll need to buy a few more of them to reach the minimum though. This means that I only need 105 Leo more to complete my goal for this year, so considering that there are 2 more #LPUDs this year, I will no doubt exceed my goal!

New goal 2500 HP

A few months ago I lowered my HP goal of 5565 HP to 2500. I thought I set it realistically enough this time to achieve it, but seeing that we only have 1.5 months left till the end of this year, it will still be a stretch! Ernesto, the donkey inside me totally took over and I was barely posting throughout the summer/autumn.

Not to worry though. I had a chat with Ernesto and we will do our best to still race towards that goal. I might have an ace or two up my sleeve to achieve it 😉

As I write this report, my total HP is currently 1852. That's 378 HP increase from 1474 HP I reported 11 weeks ago. On average I was adding slightly less than 35 HP per week.

At this moment I still need 648 HP to complete my goal. Last time I wrote I should be adding on average 50 HP weekly in order to reach my goal by the end of this year, but since I’ve been adding much less than that, now I’d need to add 92.5 weekly.

Doable?

Ernesto says ‘NO’, but I’m gonna give it a good shot nonetheless.

One thing I’ll definitely change in my goals for next year is that I’ll make a goal cumulative for both of my accounts. When setting my goals for 2023, I had no idea that this alt will have a life of its own, but I’m merely 6 Hives away from reaching a Minnow status on this account!

Considering the total HP from both of my accounts, I’m at 2417 HP, only 83 HP away from my goal!

Well, like I said - I will think about setting my goals differently for next year. Now I have a whole year of experience hiving I see things very differently.

365 days HBD savings

On pause.

Another proof that my goal setting was taken out of thin air when I was setting them at the end of last year. At least with this one I realised fairly soon that I wanted to do too many things at once. While this goal is on hold, I still add a few HBD every now and then and since my last report, 11 weeks ago I have added 11 HBD (nice and round dollar a week) for a total of 47.24 HBD in my savings today.

365 days GBP savings

My 365 days goal in my local currency is still doing really well, but it won’t be the case next month!

This goal was set so I can have some extra money for travelling next year, but as it turns out I will be going to Poland for the last 3 weeks of this year and I’m taking that money with me to spend and treat my family to a nice Christmas 😁🎄

I haven’t been home for Christmas for many years and I also wasn’t planning to go this year, but somehow this is how things turned out and I’m surprisinly excited about going home for Chrismas 😁

For now my crystals still guard those savings from myself!

My #ALIVE goal has been completed in the first half of this year and that sure was a good feeling to complete the goal ahead of time. Since then I set the same goal for my alt account and at the moment, my current stake is 660 AP. Participating in weekly staking contest helps a lot, but I suspect I will have to buy some more from the market to complete my goal of 1000 AP by the end of this year.

My #POB stake although no goal was set, also increased nicely by 555 POB since last report. I decided not to set a goal for it, but I'm tracking the progress nonetheless. I’m happy to see some curation rewards coming in regularly from my stake of 1756 POB tokens.

My LOH tokens are well over 100, making it possible for me to use LADY tipping command. Since last report there are 13.7 extra tokens in my wallet.

My newly added goal of 10 000 BBH was already fulfilled soon after setting it. Next year I’ll
set another goal to have the same amount on both account (I think). I enjoy my weekly LEO drips and @bradleyarrow adds more drips every so often. At first there were only swap.hive drips. Now there are Leo, ALIVE and CTP drips on top of swap.hive and Bradley is working on collecting enough BEE to create an Outpost/Community front end.

My HSBI Units grew nicely due to 3 factors:
