Mi Opinión del Router Mercusys AC10 tras 2 meses de uso

Ya tengo más de dos meses desde que adquirí el router Mercury a c10, y como es habitual en todo amante de la tecnología. Compartir mi opinión totalmente sincera y honesta de mi uso y satisfacción con este producto, y antes de comenzar te quería adelantar que para mí ha sido un 6 de 10, ya verás por qué.

Pero antes de comenzar repacemos un poco lo que fue el proceso de compra. Como comenté en está publicacion, el router me costó aproximadamente unos $45, y digo aproximadamente porque como lo aparte, este sistema tenía un costo de $5 adicionales, sino me hubiera salido en $40.

Por el precio siento que es un poco costoso lo que ofrece, ya que he visto como otros router de marcas chinas o como le diríamos en Venezuela, los productos tapa amarilla, yo siento que estos productos más baratos ofrecen un poco más de calidad y alcance, que es lo que estaba buscando. Ahora, hablemos de lo malo o lo que no me gusto para nada de este router.

Si hablamos de routers mercusys, pensamos en facilidad de configuración. Y la verdad así es, con el router anterior fue a, todo era bastante intuitivo y estaba construido de una manera en la que familiarizarte era algo sencillo. Pero esta configuración que trae este router es sumamente complicada una investigación que hice era que esta configuración es una de las más viejas de la marca Mercusys. Ya que las configuraciones o software más actuales son mucho más fáciles e intuitivos.

Algo que me molestó muchísimo de esta configuración horrible y confusa fue el apartado de control de ancho de banda. Este es un apartado sumamente vital sobre todo para mí ya que tengo pensado vender servicio de internet a mis vecinos. Y pensaba que el control de ancho de banda era sumamente sencillo como en el otro que pareciera como si fuera una perilla donde se controla el flujo del internet a cada dispositivo.

Pero no este software que contiene este router es bastante básico y sumamente confuso. Además, para hacer una configuración de ancho de banda o de control de ancho de banda, tengo que hacer muchos procesos y al final solamente puedes controlar el ancho de banda de todo el router y no a cada dispositivo específico, esto me recuerda mucho a las configuraciones de router de tp-link, pero de un router del año 2006.

Otra cosa que no me gusta para nada y esto se lo voy a decir con total honestidad es que también el control de acceso o control de acceso por Mac es sumamente horrible y la verdad no se entiende para nada de una manera clara. Ya que si quieres agregar a personas para que únicamente esos dispositivos se conecten en tu wi-fi tienes que crear una blacklist o en español una lista negra, pero si quieres evitar que dispositivos se conecten debes crear una whitelist.

Lo cual para mí no tiene ningún sentido en lo absoluto, porque se supone que blacklist significa lista negra o una lista de excluidos. Además, encontrar esta configuración que debe ser sumamente fácil de conseguir no lo es, ya que en el router anterior que tenía un software más actual se podía conseguir en el apartado de redes inalámbricas o Wireless, pero este está en seguridad es bastante confuso cuando quiero desactivarlo porque no está donde debería estar. Y además añadir o quitar dispositivos es otro dolor de cabeza, ya que se recarga la configuración constantemente y pierdes El progreso así que tienes que tener muchísima paciencia para configurar el control de acceso por Mac en este router.

Claro no puedo decir que esto vaya a pasar a todos los modelos de este tipo de router, ya que como me comentó el mismo vendedor, cada router viene configurado con un software totalmente distinto algunos routers modernos tienen configurado un software bastante viejo e incluso ha habido casos donde router viejos tienen configuraciones de software actuales. Así que frente a esto podrá hacer dos cosas Una tratar de aprender cómo funciona este sistema y adaptarme o dos ver si de alguna manera se puede actualizar el software de este dispositivo. Ahora hablemos de lo que me gustó de este router.

Si hablamos de las cosas positivas pues tiene sus puntos fuertes por ejemplo de verdad que me estabilizó muy bien el internet. Antes con el otro router se caía a cada rato literalmente unas 20 o 30 veces por día lo cual dificultaba mucho el proceso de trabajo y además si se conectaban más de tres dispositivos era sumamente fatal ya que se ralentizaba enormemente la velocidad de navegación.

Pero este router es bastante estable incluso se le pueden conectar cinco dispositivos a la vez, claro vamos a ser honestos y decir que la velocidad no es estable ya que últimamente imagino yo que por la cantidad de lluvias que ha habido por todo el país la velocidad del internet ha estado sumamente deficiente. Pero por lo menos el router sí estabiliza muy bien la poquita señal que le llega ya sea débil o fuerte.

Otra cosa que me gustó fue el alcance que tiene, ya que mejoró bastante con respecto al router anterior. Claro para poder llevar la señal a lugares aún más apartados tendría que comprar un extensor de señal, ya que por sí solo este router al ser uno de los más básicos de la línea de doble banda. No puedo exigirle lo que sí le exigiría a un router de gama AX o un AC, pero de mayor capacidad.

Una última cosa que me gustó mucho de este router y eso lo aplaudo es que cuando se va la luz y vuelve a llegar no le toma mucho tiempo retomar la señal de internet y emitirla. Es sorprendente lo rápido que este router comienza a trabajar. El anterior que tenía tardaba aproximadamente entre 3 a 10 minutos en estabilizar la señal y emitir el servicio de internet nuevamente, a diferencia de este hace 10 que se va la luz inmediatamente cuando llega y termina de prenderse que eso no dura más de 10 segundos ya está emitiendo la señal del internet.

Así que por estas cosas negativas y positivas le doy una puntuación de seis sobre 10 a este router AC10, ya que, aunque tiene muchas cosas buenas por ofrecer hay otras que son puntos negativos bastante importantes y que no se pueden pasar por alto. Como comenté si consigo la manera de actualizar el software sería maravilloso, pero si no es así pues tendría que reunir nuevamente en tratar de conseguir un router que sea de cue a las necesidades que tengo ahora de la venta del internet ya que este es muy básico para eso.
