Upgrades

After dropping my 5-year-old phone three times this week and having the case split open, I finally upgraded to a new one. While I couldn't afford the pro model I wanted at this time, the unit I did get is miles ahead of the Moto G Power phone that I picked up in 2018.

The good thing about all of this, is that I'll finally be able to fold some of my OWN photos into my blog, instead of having to rely on Pixabay alone. (Now if only I lived in some picturesque area such as London, Paris, or the rugged New England coastline, instead of deep inland in the Rust Belt of America.

That's the thing about upgrades, even though I didn't get the phone I wanted (I've got my eye on you for the future, Pixel 8 Pro!), the point is to improve your creative output one step at a time.

You can't always get what you want when you want it, but you can get better in stages, and keep advancing forward.

I've also picked up a new router, offering much-improved speeds over what I had before. Not only is everything faster, but the connection is more stable throughout the day, without the dropoffs that used to occur from time to time.

What's important is not to spend money to get a new thing, but to optimize your life as a content creator. Many of us don't have the time that we need to do all that we want. So anything that can allow us to complete more projects in the same time block, is a boon to those of us who are creating on Hive.

I already have some ideas to improve my workflow, so that I might be able to "bank" some posts for a rainy day. The more you write, the better and easier, it gets. Technology can help to boost our productivity, and allow us to live better, and continue building the positive future of Hive.
