The most constant thing in a human life is change, over the years of our existence we have evolved from one being to another, from one age to another. Truth be told, we have come far from what, who and where we used to be. Looking through the humans evolution history, who would believe that we where ones creatures that makes tools with stones, cultivated our farm lands with less sharpened tools and then, gradually we evolved to what we became today, I would say it is not short of a miracle but then, truly it isn't.
Nothing is more stronger than humans will to survive despite the odds. Challenges only makes humans stronger and search for solution, it will take a more divine intervention to eradicate humans from earth because we adapt to every situation we find ourselves and keep striving. Even if the present generation doesn't seem like much, we keep creating and making history that the coming generation can build upon. This has always been so, it is the inner drive with every human and at every point in time, this need to survive takes us into a new dimensions.

Humans evolution is extraordinary, we are godlike species just as it was stated in the holy book. The first time I thought this would probably be the end of all humans on earth was during the covid 19 pandemic, when almost half of the population of most countries was being displayed in red, symbolising the numbers of victims whose life has been claimed by the virus. So I thought, this is would probably be it, we are finally up against an enemy without a face, an enemy that doesn't seek diplomatic resolution, we are finally up against our match. Those were the kind of thought that went through my mind everyday but then the opposite happened, it has been over 6 years and here we are.
Before the covid 19 pandemic, the world was divided into two dimensions, the world of analogue and the digital world. We were all aware of how slowly we were beginning to step into the digital world but it wasn't as fast as people predicted it to be. A lot of oldies in the power house were still holding onto their likeness for the world of analogue they have been used to. I don't blame them, humans are creature of habits, only the known is safe but suddenly we faced a challenge that forced a change in people's perspective, even the oldies.

During the pandemic a lot of things were banned to prevent the further spread of the virus. Most importantly physical activities involving public gatherings, in the absence of this, students couldn't go to school, workers couldn't go to work, in fact everything stood still causing great industrial and intellectual loss. To combat the issue of students not being able to attend school, the E-learning platform was introduced. It is something we here of being introduced in developed countries but as a result of the new threat, developing countries were forced to adopt it.
With the E-learning, students could learn from the comfort of their homes across the world, most countries that held back in using such a digital platform for learning became aware of its effectiveness. Areas that needed upgrades in the E-learning were attended to since the survival of humans depends on and just like that it was massively adopted across the world. For workers, companies have always had issues with ethics committees when it comes to replacing humans with machines, there was never a do or die need for it until the pandemic struck. If workers can't go to work, who will attend to production of goods and materials that are necessary for humans consumption.
In 2020/21, there was high demands for robotics related tools and machineries in homes and factories. People relied on machines they once feared to safe them from the crisis. We saw videos of drones doing logistics and house chores since the pandemic didn't exclude housemaids. Even social media gained great acceptability among the masses. It became a means of disseminating information and creating contents that would assist people in reducing their fear of the virus. In fact it was during those desperate times that people really discovered the potentials of social media and the value of content creation/creators.

So when the pandemic began to fade, we had already shifted into digitalism. The world of analogue had suddenly lost its hold, people already saw the potentials of the digital world so there was no need to debate on it already, it was already tested and trusted. It was as if we ended a chapter and entered a new chapter of human evolution.
What kind of change will make humans more adaptable to the ever changing world? The change is already here. Humans have already been through all kinds of evolutions moving through different era. The stone age leading to bronze age, bronze age leading to the silver age and any other age that exist after. Here we are in the era of digitalism. Knowing the world of digitalism, it is limitless. We are now inclined to automated technology, now that artificial intelligence comes into the picture, the world of automation is no longer new to anyone. Another kind of technology will definitely be developed in the future, introducing a new era but it is where we are now that would lead us to the new era.
