The most constant thing in a human life is change, over the years of our existence we have evolved from one being to another, from one age to another. Truth be told, we have come far from what, who and where we used to be.
Looking through the humans evolution history, who would believe that we where ones creatures that makes tools with stones, cultivated our farm lands with our bare hands and less sharpened tools. Gradually we evolved to what we became today, I would say it is not short of a miracle but then, truly it isn't.
Nothing is more stronger than humans will to survive despite the odds. Challenges only makes humans stronger and search for solution, it will take a more divine intervention to eradicate humans from earth because we adapt to every situation we find ourselves and keep striving.
Even if the present generation doesn't seem like much, we keep creating and making history that the coming generation can build upon. This has always been so, it is the inner drive with every human and at every point in time, this need to survive takes us into new dimensions.
Mankind is blessed with intelligence which has produced innovative ideas, we were once humans who had nothing but stones for tools, gradually our ideas evolved now here we are with more innovations that supersedes the imaginations of our ancestors. We humans invest our time, effort and knowledge in ensuring the advancement of technology to ensure sustainable future for mankind and our environment.
Humans have already been through all kinds of evolutions moving through different era. The stone age leading to bronze age, bronze age leading to the silver age and any other age that exist after. Here we are in the era of technology/digitalism. Knowing the world of technology, it is limitless.
We are now inclined to automated technology, now that artificial intelligence comes into the picture, the world of automation is no longer new to anyone. Another kind of technology will definitely be developed in the future, for now lets focus on the possibility of human cloning.
When it comes to discussing specific subject, I like referring to movies because it is the only place the impossible becomes possible. I find it quite amazing how we humans develop some movies ideas, it is a proof of how wild imaginations can get but is it all imagination? We have to admit how creative humans have gotten when it comes to usage of technology.
Looking at how far we have gotten, every impossible idea that used to be just a line in a movie script is slowly becoming reality, apart from the zombies Apocalypse. Humans are creatures that evolve based on the available knowledge at hand and technology being the ever evolving sector in the society has never cease to amaze me.
If we were to look back about 20 years ago, when the closest thing to artificial intelligence were search engines, scientific calculator. We were doing just fine in those days but humans evolution is never something that enjoys standing still, it keeps moving and so we moved till we find ourselves where we are currently.
With every innovative human idea comes with all kind of new challenges, I keep saying; humans are not prepared for the capabilities of artificial intelligence but someday it is going to be an ancient innovation just like our scientific calculator.
If I Was given the opportunity to be cloned, would I go for it? It definitely sounds creepy. I watched a movie called Altered Carbon last year, a SciFi TV series that involves human cloning and all sort of advanced technology stuff that you can possibly imagine and another movie called The Peripheral that also portrays similar reality of advanced technology being used to transform and improve humans. To make it worst, I watched another movie recently called Mickey 17 which kind portrayed human cloning in a more dubious manner.
As beautiful as it looked at first in the movie, with everyone feeling superfly like some sort of heroes from marvel avengers, a specific issue always seems to arrive in the middle of it all when everything seems to be working perfectly, the case of human dubious nature. What most people don't understand is humans thirst for destruction, it is an evil force that exist in us all. We will never stop trying to destroy each other, in every little way possible.
In the stone age, where there was no sharp tools, we sharpened stones and animal bones and used it to harm one another, the same is for any age in humans evolution. Every advancement to humans always turns up to be instruments of max destruction.
Just imagine if some criminal were to have access to cloning technology, they could be at home which serve as strong alibi but there clones will be somewhere else doing God knows what. What if my clone decided to want to be the real deal, I mean becoming the original version of myself? I can think of a billion ways cloning technology could turn out be problematic.
You know the most funny truth I learnt from those movies is that, the moment we start having clones, it means the other version of ourselves becomes dependent on technology to survive and we will also have to use technology to duplicate our brains to make the other version of ourselves become a replica of us in every way possible, which will grant computers access to our minds.
In so doing, we will also find ourselves in the Menu of hackers, wouldn't that become highlight of the century? When someone hijacks our body and suddenly our body becomes our private prison. If we humans can't have full control over our own body, what does that say about freewill? Is it not our natural birth right? It might seem like I'm basing my arguments on things learnt from movies, well tell me one thing that exist now that wasn't just a scene or an act from a movie.
This write-up was inspired by week 33 - episode 1 SciFi multiverse prompt titled "The age of clones" in SciFi multiverse community.

Change is always constant
Exactly 💯
Thanks for stopping by 🤗
I thought it far and yes, I saw that frictions are in reality already. We are not far from impossible, maybe zombie days will come too
I pray I don't live to see the zombie part 😅
I saw that altered carbon series around but never watched! Didn't know that was a scifi stuff!
Yeah it is.
It is an amazing series.

I wonder if cloning opens a door we'd rather close?
Probably but we would never know until the door is opened.
