ᴀ ʙᴀᴛᴛʟᴇ ᴏғ ᴇғғɪᴄɪᴇɴᴄʏ.
We humans invest our time, effort and knowledge, in ensuring the advancement of technology, to ensure sustainable future for mankind and our environment. The comfort and simplicity provided by technology, is something that makes us look forward to more technological advancements in the nearest future.
Based on the amazing benefits offered by AI, most people would think it should be integrated in every area of our society, but I believe it should be carefully evaluated before we jump into conclusion. We have now gotten to the point where both humans and Ai now compete in a battle of efficiency.
Is Ai smarter than humans? firstly I need to establish the fact that Ai was created by humans, which means AI is a product of human intelligence. With that being said, we need to also understand the purpose of the establishment of AI, not just from Algorithm point of view.
Before this present era of technology it has always been a game of numbers in the labour market. We humans had so much pride in the fact that, our skill set will definitely be the reason people in need of it we seek us out but things changed, I bet they never saw it coming. Imagine how hard it used to be, to search the internet and scroll through thousands of articles, before we can get access to a specific article, with the right amount of information for what we need.
Not just that, there are times when we will have to gather information from more than hundreds of articles because, every single of one of it contains information we need but it is not in one place. With AI, It automatically summarize and gather this information in one place, without the need to go through each of it one by one.
The information AI analyzed to get the details we need, is a research written and conducted by humans. Which means it just made it easier to summarize the information but it was human intelligence that imputed and gathered the data AI analysed. This means, Ai shouldn't be considered to be smarter than humans, it is just more effective in information gathering and saves time compared to humans.
The rate at which Ai completes task in a matter of minutes, what would have taken humans hours or days to do, it is the reason behind its mass adoption. The time factor is really something humans needs to pay attention to, We all know how value time is, if you could get a task done with Ai within secs, why would you want to take the long route? Ai is meant to maximize human effort in its usage.
I remember those days, when we had to cob through the internet, for the right image to use as thumbnail for our content. That is not even the exhausting part, a person can search through internet and still not find the perfect image that fits. With just few descriptions or key words, anyone can now generate the perfect image for their content.
In a battle of intelligence between humans and Ai, I wouldn't consider Ai to be smarter than humans because what some of you don't understand is that, Ai can also be wrong, it is as smart as the information it has access to, just like humans. But then, in a battle of efficiency, Ai will always win because that is what it was built to do.
