Oral hygiene is something that everyone needs to take seriously because it can actually affect you in so many ways. When your breath is bad,it can actually make people to feel uncomfortable standing or talking to you. Again,not taking your oral hygiene seriously may need to Periodontitis.

A form of periodontal disease called periodontitis damages the soft tissues that protect and surround the teeth. It occurs as a result of an excessive buildup of germs on the gums as well as the teeth which can cause inflammation as well as infection. Periodontitis can result in the loss of teeth and cause the gum line to loosen up.

You can remove the bacteria and loosening food particles by flossing first before brushing. In addition to keeping both your gums and teeth healthy, proper dental care gets rid of the pathogenic microbes that contribute to periodontal disease.
