MONOMAD : Leafcutting Bee (Rotunda megachile)
To take part in the monomad challenge, on this occasion I will share photos of insects, these insects belong to the genus of bees, this is called the leaf cutter bee, I found out about this after I tried to find out the scientific name of this bee on Google Lens, but in the photo I share this time it looks like this bee is on the grass and is trying to cut the grass that is there, Here I call it "Lawnmower Bees". The binomial name of the type of bee that I share this time is Rotunda megachile, from what I read on wikipedia; these are not honey-storing bees or those that have busy colonies, they are pollinator bees which are mostly liked by farmers. Take a look below at some of the bee photos that I edited into black and white in sepia tone mode using the Adobe Lightroom application, I hope you enjoy them :
It looks a bit like a speck in the photo below, which is due to the reflection of the sunlight hitting my lens when taking this insect photo :
All the photos that I share here were taken using a smartphone and the help of an external macro lens, Thank you for visiting my post, hope you like it and see you in my next post.
