Fitness Flies or Muscular flies On My Fingers (Ochthera mantis)
Hello insect lovers, this time I would like to share an insect object called a fly, the insect that I shared at this meeting is an insect that I picked up when it suddenly landed on my finger, this fly is very small, the shape is also not looks like an ordinary fly, he looks muscular, and maybe he is a fitness athlete. I took photo the fly that I shared this time with a fresh weed background blur, so it looks green like in the picture I posted this time.
Judging from the almost similar pictures, when I identified this fly on Google Lens and I thought the Latin name for the fly that I shared this time was Blandford fly or it is also called Simulium posticatum, but I doubted because in that reference I could not find photo any muscles in it. the forelegs of the fly, while the photo of the fly that I shared looks like it has strong muscles. Finally I called this fly the name "Fitness fly", naming it of course because his arms look like they are muscular. Maybe friends know another name for the fly that I shared this time, all friends can tell me via the comments column in my post this time, here below are some photos that I will share in this post entry :
Apart from perching on my fingers, I also took this fly when it was on a green leaf, this is the same fly object as I shared above, but only in a different place when it rests, here is a photo when it was above the leaves :
Okay friends, that's all I can present at this meeting, all the photos that I share in this post were taken using a smartphone camera and the help of an external macro lens, don't forget to keep smiling today and every day, and see you on my next entry :)
After I know the name of this fly, let me correct my writing, the name of this fly is Ochthera mantis.

Apart from the fact that "Blandford fly" is an English name, it is also not Simulium posticatum.
What you found is Ochthera mantis (sometimes called "mantis fly") or a close relative.
Thank you for the knowledge, I will remember this for the future if I find this fly again ;)
What a fantastic shots.
