EXAM ETHICS A MUST FOR ACADEMIC INTEGRITY!

![mp.jpg]() Knowledge is not just easy, we seek for it based on the areas of interest. It requires dedication and commitment for one to achieve his or her quest. There is no shortcut to success, that I believe but seems some people would always want to boycott it, the truth is the end result is always full of gap's if you do a self appraisal. As I walked into the exam hall, I discovered the students were already seated where they believed was very conducive for them. Immediately I asked them out to follow protocols of ushering them in as our system permits in order to curb impersonation, they started murmuring, maybe I have displaced them from their arrangements and earlier plans. Thirty minutes after they started I walked out to get water since am already dehydrated due to the hot weather, coming back I had to peep from the closest window only to discover a girl unleashing pieces of papers from her thighs, immediately I walked straight to her and recoverd the exhibits. ![mp.jpg]() As if that wasn't enough I caught another one with answers written in his Pam's like a crested tattoos, ![pam.jpg]() I was able to discover even worse cases. Now what happened to reading prior to exams, yes everyone doesn't have the same retentive capacity but preparing early enough helps one to discover where he or she needs to work on. Imagine the time they took in writing on their Pam's , the females on their lap's and lots of other gadgets in their custody. There are consequences attached to such actions if caught, of course they had to fill exam malpractice form inorder to face the exam misconduct panels. Will I be doing the right thing if I pardon them or will I be doing the wrong thing if I forward the evidence? In my own opinion it's a way to discipline a student if we really don't want to bastardize education globally, there must be sanctions for them and others to seat up. However failing only tells us to add more efforts, it's not a crime, it doesn't mean you are dumb or weak, but needs to restrategize to get things right. If you are going for war, you must be prepared and not learning how to shoot in the war front when the heat is on! ![pam2.jpg]() Same thing is applicable in other areas of our lives. My advice for Teachers and students out there is that you try your best to follow academic ethics, it's not easy but with God all things are possible. May God grant the Teachers out there the strength and wisdom to impact knowledge and the students the wisdom to understand more. Kindly follow me for more updates as I will also be bringing up Cyber security updates to you for more knowledge on this prestigious community.
