There are plenty of small changes that people can make to try and boost benefits in their daily life. One of the most popular is getting more exercise, whether walking, strength training, or some other activity. Walking has proven to potentially offer a wide variety of benefits and it is easy to do for just about anyone, it doesn't cost a thing.

One study from 2022 showed that for every 2,000 steps that you take it could potentially help to decrease the risk of a variety of illnesses, peaking at around 10k steps and it doesn't take that long to try and get 2,000 steps into the daily routine either. Researchers for years have urged people to get out more and get more active, trying to incorporate more walking into their routines.

The average American today is walking over the 2k limit and making it between 3k to 4k steps according to some estimates, it might be lower for some or much higher for others.

It is encouraging to see studies suggest that even something as simple as walking could provide any benefits to the individual given how easy it is to start incorporating into the daily routine. It could be just 10 to 20 minutes per day that allegedly could go on to offer benefits down the road and research has been investigating the upside of walking and other activities for years now, it is no secret that many studies point to a more active lifestyle being linked with different benefits or boosts in immune function etc. It doesn't take an expensive gym membership to start turning things into a new direction if this turns out to be true.

I don't understand how able bodied people can do less than 2K - I do that around the house every day!
