Many Australians Working Multiple Jobs Now To Get By

It isn't only in the U.S. where millions of people might be working two or sometimes even three jobs in an effort to just pay basic bills. These aren't people getting rich by any means but those who are trying just to keep a roof over their head and food in the fridge. The same situation is seen in other countries as well.

In Australia for example a recent report suggests that hundreds of thousands of Australians are working more than one job, almost 7%of all workers and this is a record number who are finding themselves in that situation.

Surging cost of living pushing people to get multiple jobs

People around Australia just like the United States are trying to get creative with affording their rent and other bills, that might mean taking on two or three jobs.

Thanks to gig economy work and technology today it makes it somewhat easy for people to seek out those opportunities. But should people be having to work 2 or 3 jobs just to afford rent and food? Maybe this is a slight reflection of the crippling inflation and deterioration of fiat currency that is rising around the world as the cost of living crisis pushes many to struggle with mortgage payments, food, and other needs.

Where is it going to lead? Will it turn around? Some who are working those multiple jobs have said they don't see it ever going the other way, in other words they think they might be working multiple jobs for good because of the cost of living. Is that a sign of a strong economy? Did it take people working 2 or 3 jobs a few decades ago to afford a comfortable lifestyle or basic shelter and food? At least there is a lot of opportunity out there for those who are looking for it.

How long will it be until things ease up for millions in the working class from Australia to the U.S.? Will things continue to get worse? Are those who fueled these economic conditions that the people face currently truly working to fix the core problem and bring about a more prosperous future?

Yup, it's very bad here. Dual income is no longer enough. Both partners need to have multiple incomes
