The Chairperson of the African

The Chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki, issues a statement on the situation in #Ethiopia, expressing his concern regarding the military confrontations in the #Amhara region.

He affirmed the African Union's firm adherence to the constitutional order and the territorial integrity, unity and national sovereignty of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia to ensure stability in the country and in the region.

The Commissioner also called on the conflicting parties to stop the fighting immediately and ensure the protection of civilians and urged the two parties to engage in dialogue to reach a peaceful solution.
