What Made Steve Jobs So Special As A Tech Pioneer?
The current CEO of the Apple company is Tim Cook. I see the burden of performance that's on anyone that becomes Apple's CEO because innovation as always been the Hallmark of this company so whoever becomes the leader has to think a lot and has to know how to work with the team to create better products.
Tim Cook had the chance of working with Steve Jobs and he claims to have learned a lot from Steve Jobs while working with him.
The most important thing he said he learned was Steve’s ability to change his mind when he's provided with new information. He was a man that believed in change, acknowledge that change is necessary for growth and didn't fear to try a new thing.
Steve would never stick to an old idea just because they were his ideas . There are leaders like that, they always want to lead their own way after it's either their way or no way.
This trait impressed Tim a lot. He called it a brilliant skill that not many people have, because most people are attached to their past views.
This particular skill or trait is so important for leaders and especially those in the tech industry because of how technology changes so quickly.
It will help leaders make better decisions by always considering new facts. Steve Jobs loved to debate and discuss ideas with his coworkers and he was always so open to changing his opinion if someone had a better idea that his.
I believe this is really what made Apple stronger I'm the past. Jeff Bezos from Amazon also shared a similar view, and he said that good leaders listen to others and are willing to change their minds to be right more often.
