We should always have enough light in our lives to perceive what is going on. And if there is too dark at the places where we are, we should have flashlight or headlight to see what is going on, and how we are when we are. If there is too much darkness, we cannot perceive things properly. To be is to perceive and to be perceived.

A street light, light pole, lamppost, street lamp, light standard or lamp standard is a raised source of light on the edge of a road or path. Similar lights may be found on a railway platform. When urban electric power distribution became ubiquitous in developed countries in the 20th century, lights for urban streets followed, or sometimes led.

Many lamps have light-sensitive photocells that activate the lamp automatically when needed, at times when there is little to no ambient light, such as at dusk, dawn, or at the onset of dark weather conditions. This function in older lighting systems could be performed with the aid of a solar dial. Many street light systems are being connected underground instead of wiring from one utility post to another. Street lights are an important source of public security lighting intended to reduce crime.

When doing things in life, there should be enough light to perceive what we must perceive. And always life is about finding solutions, and the darker there is the worser is the ways to perceive the details and the landscape just as it is.

Paris laid claim to the world's first electric streetlights. Its arc lamps, also known as Yablochkov candles, were installed in 1878. Three years later, 4,000 of these electric lamps were in use, effectively replacing gas lanterns mounted on poles. Street lighting was first introduced in the United States by Benjamin Franklin who iterated on the glass globes used in London with his own version that was eventually approved by the Pennsylvania Assembly circa 1757.

What do light poles really do? Light poles provide light for our streets, parking lots, sports parks, walk ways, and children. A light pole is something that most people take for granted and maintenance personnel often do not regularly check.

Lighting is as effective as the equipment it is made of and helps illuminate streets with industry-grade tubular steel or aluminum poles that get the job done safely and efficiently. So, the importance of street light poles determines why they are used, and many light poles are really better than you may think. And especially in the night, there is darkness, and we should use light if is it necessary regardless of whether the time of the day, and the time of the night.

The primary function of light poles is to provide adequate light spread on the roads. They must also be able to resist the physical forces such as the wind load, weight of the luminaire and the weather.

The average street light pole cost ranges from $2,000 to $3,000, but that does not include installation. The installation cost depends on the city, but the average is somewhere around $1,000.

Traffic light poles and decorative street poles have far-reaching benefits and applications - most of which are widely ignored. They are ubiquitous elements and are a fixture in our towns and cities and yet, have somehow managed to go largely undetected by the general population.
