Supermoon is a coincidence between the moon and the earth, and this event means that there is the least as possible in the elliptical orbits which are used for the moon and the earth. This distance is also called and known for apsis.

We can see the moon in the sky during the night, when it is darkness at the earth. And the sun is shining at the moon, and therefore we see a clear and luminous moon, when there is no disturbances, and when the earth does not cover the moon.

We have a supermoon when a full moon or a new moon has its closest point to the globe. We are calling this point for perigeum. As humans, we can just see the supermoon. And when we are having the longest distance and longest point from the earth to the moon, we are calling it for apogeum. We are calling this event for micro moon.

President John F. Kennedy one time claimed: «We should try to be the first on the moon!». President Kennedy was engaged with space research, and he meant that the United States should be in the front of research in this area, maybe the best area we can be within. The United States managed to do that at 21 July 1969, and this was after the death of John F. Kennedy, and he was shot at 22 November 1963 in Dallas in Texas. When Amstrong reached the moon, he said: «A little step for the humans, a great step for the humanity!».

Supermoon is not a formal astronomical term, but it was first used of Richard Nolle in 1979, and he was educated in astrology. And in any scientific area we need theories, methods and data.

There is no official rule for how long away the moon must be to be qualified as a supermoon for the opposition, the micro moon. We are using the following definitions on the Internet:

Supermoon: When a full moon or a new moon is less than 360 000 km from the center at the globe.
Micro moon: When a full moon or a new moon is more than 405 000 km from the center of the globe.

There has been an evolution from the creation of the earth, of the universe, of the moon, and for everything and for every planet that is possible to find out there. And we cannot find all these at all times at ever place, and the discovering of the earth and the universe and the moon and for the planets are incremental, and therefore we find different things from time to time.

When perceiving a supermoon, we can see the diameter at the moon to be 14 % longer than on the average of all the moons we have ever seen in the sky. The distance from the earth to the moon varies between 357 000 km to 405 000 due to the moon’s elliptical orbit around the earth.

The name «supermoon» is defined as: «a new or full moon which occurs with the moon at or near (within 90% of) its closest approach to earth in a given orbit (perigee). In short, the earth, the moon and the sun are all in a line, with moon in its nearest approach to earth».
