RE: My headache with AI at Hive.

AI is so frustrating. How will anyone have an original thought again if AI takes over in everything?

I have a new boss at work who is really encouraging our team to use AI in all kinds of cases. And I was actually shocked to see how much my team has followed suit. Using it to create emails, meeting minutes, complex analysis of different scientific and financial information. But if everyone keeps doing this… who is checking for information accuracy? And like “fake news” the more incorrect AI information shared across the internet will only create a repository of misinformation for others to site as truth.

On top of this… the amount of energy used to power AI (much like crypto) seems so wasteful. Plus do I dare even mention the carbon emissions from data centers? So is it even ethical to use AI?

I say all of this, but still used AI to generate a cartoon image of my family yesterday. 😂🤣😂🤣
