The restless dragonfly and butterfly || Behind The Photo Contest, Edition #7
Hello friends,
Hope you all are well. Although we are passing critical time in Steemit platform from last few days, the initiative of @behindthephoto to arrange such a nice contest has given the opportunity to think something creative. In addition, thanks goes to @appreciator for sponsoring this event and the judges @nelyp and @johan.norberg for their hard work.
This is my second entry of ’Behind The Photo’ contest. Although I was not selected as winner of Edition #6, but got good appreciation from many people. Those appreciations encouraged me to attend this edition #7 contest.
However, my today’s topic is some close pictures of busy dragonfly and butterfly.
Few days back, I was travelling to my hometown on the occasion of my school friends gathering. This is the program of completing 50 years of my school. I left school more than two decades ago. So, I was very much excited to see some of my friends after a long time.
It is one-hour drive to my hometown from Dhaka where I stay. As I was much excited about the program, I started quite early and reached to the place at 7 am in the morning. The gathering will start at 10 am in the morning. I had enough time to roam around my beautiful village. Therefore, I went to a playground where I used to play in my childhood. There is a small bush beside the playground. There I found some dragonflies were flying. I took the Iphone from my pocket and took some pictures.
This is spring season in Bangladesh. It was 8 am in the morning. The day was quite sunny. The dragonflies were enjoying the environment of the best season. Those were dancing and flying here and there.
As I mentioned earlier, the spring season is running here. You will find many flowers blooming in this month. As a result, butterflies and bees were also moving around flowers to collect honey. I took some pictures of butterflies and bees, which were collecting honey from flowers.
I like to take pictures of insects. To me it is very much challenging to take pictures of moving objects. As you know dragonflies and butterflies don’t stand in a place for long. Always keep moving from one place to another place. As a result, I had to put hard effort to capture those pictures.
As I took all these pictures very much close to the dragonflies, I had to move silently towards those. It took almost one hour to capture these pictures.
Finally, after completing the pictures, I started for the program to meet with my old friends. It was quite an amazing and memorable day for me. Here is one picture of our gathering.
Here all the pictures were captured using my iPhone 11 Pro Max mobile phone. Some of the pictures were cropped from the original ones.
