"AIs are Rapidly Growing" - Stability AI's Founder Interview

Friends, greetings! I recently watched an excellent interview by impact theory with artificial intelligence expert Emad Mostaque (Founder of Stabilityai and wanted to share some key points.
This technology is evolving so quickly that even specialists are taken by surprise!, naturally...
"I engaged with AI a lot due to the condition of my Son"
Emad Stated and I paraphrase, whos son suffered by severe autism.

Emad Proceeded to consult with experts on the field and later engaged with AI to aid in finding an effective solution, and so he did.

AI skills will skyrocket over the next year or two. Following that "incubation," these abilities will spread rapidly throughout society. It's the "contagion" season.

As AI automates processes, massive economic and labor upheaval could occur in the next five years. Many people may experience an existential crisis as a result of this, yet new opportunities will also emerge. Individuals should learn how to use AI tools.

"It was going to happen at some point sooner than later, so we decided to do grant it open source" -Emad Stated and I paraphrase.

There is a risk of "misalignment" in AI as Emad put it, which occurs when advanced AI pursues goals that are not in line with human ideals. Although researchers are working on "alignment" procedures, proven answers remain elusive. Access to high-quality data and models will be critical.
AI err... superstision is a more immediate concern at the moment. Models frequently reinforce existing biases in data. Data and model diversity is critical. Individuals should own models that have been trained on private data. Hence why Emad mentions that they went open source.

Regulation will very certainly struggle to keep up with the rate of AI change. Governments require "regulatory sandboxes" to allow for experimentation. Education, healthcare, and advertising all require regulation.
AI has enormous potential for personalized education, healthcare, science, innovation, and other applications. However, advantages may not be dispersed evenly, causing inequality.

Blockchain-enabled cryptocurrencies and decentralized organizations have the potential to erode state power, resulting in unstable "network states." It is possible that new political/religious forces will emerge quickly.

Positive narratives are required for the future. AI has the potential to solve global problems, develop science, and improve humanity.
However, the threats need wide discussions about aligning AI for human flourishing.

AI is at a crossroads. Individuals may handle change and capitalize on possibilities with foresight.

However, broad collaboration is required to lead AI to the benefit of humanity. I hope you find these thoughts beneficial!
