Once I had a small 🍕 pi(z.z)a 🍕 here 😄 颱風夜吃台北地下街吃比薩算數學🤓

A while back, Taipei had a day off due to a typhoon. But honestly, the weather wasn't that bad, just occasional gusts of wind and rain. It was bearable outside as long as you didn't stay out for too long. So, I decided to go out and explore a bit. That's how I ended up at the Taipei Main Station underground mall. It's always crowded there, and the transportation service was still running, though with slightly longer intervals. I figured on such a day, many people would still come out to have some fun! 😆😆

And as expected, the Taipei underground mall was buzzing with activity. While killing time before dinner, I was scrolling on my phone and stumbled upon a hilarious picture, see below!

The picture was really interesting. It uses "a" to depict the thickness of a pizza and "z" for the radius. Then it calculates the volume of the pizza "cylinder", which turned out to be:

Volume = π * z^2 * a 🛢️

And then represents it in another fun way:

Volume = pi(z.z)a 🍕

Haha, it's clever and amusing! A perfect way to teach kids about the formula for calculating the volume of a cylinder and making math more enjoyable.

After seeing that picture, my stomach suddenly growled, and luckily, there were plenty of restaurants in the underground mall to choose from. That's when I spotted a place selling pizzas. They actually had a diverse menu with all sorts of options, but since I had just seen that pizza picture, I couldn't resist trying one myself! 🍕😋...

話說颱風假那天，其實台北風雨不特別大，一陣一陣的，要外出也還可以，不要長時間待戶外就好。於是後來我也出去轉轉，由於午餐吃的晚，晚上餓的時間也遲。

什麼地方在颱風天最適合逛街呢？一方面必須要在室內，另一方面也需要商家有營業才行。於是我就想到了台北車站地下街，那裡人最多，交通服務基本上還是會有，頂多班距變長，我估計這種天氣應該很多人出來玩耍，然後台北車站地下街很多東南亞店，我猜測他們都會非常勤勞的開店😆😆

果不其然台北地下街非常熱鬧，我在晚餐之前閒晃的時候，滑手機看到人家分享了一張很有趣的圖片，就是上面那一張圖片囉！

這張圖片很有意思，他把一片比薩的厚度設為a，把半徑設為z，然後計算比薩這個圓柱體的體積，就會是

Volume = π * z^2 * a 🛢️

然後再透過另一種表示方法變成

Volume = pi(z.z)a 🍕

哈哈哈，真是巧妙又有趣呢！很適合用來教導小朋友關於圓柱體體積的計算公式，也算是讓數學更有趣的一種方法。

看完這張圖之後，突然感覺到肚子餓了，還好附近都是地下街餐廳可以選擇，然後我就看到了這一間有賣比薩的店家，其實他們賣的很雜什麼都有，但偏偏我剛剛看到比薩的圖片，所以就想來吃吃比薩🍕😋...

當天晚上還是颱風夜，而且時間已經是晚上8點多所以店內客人已經不多。飲料可以喝到飽，然後比薩分為7吋跟10吋，大概前者是一人份，後者是兩人份或很餓的人😂。7吋就要$110台幣，所以我選擇當一個不那麼餓的人😢。

由於需要現做所以要等一下子。這期間我就看到不少外地客人來外帶，香港的，韓國的等等... 應該是外來旅客住車站附近，颱風天沒什麼地方去，吃的選擇也不多，所以來這裡買回去飯店吃。我可是台北老柯南😎。

最後終於等到我的比薩，我點的是黑胡椒牛肉。嗯... 真是蠻普通的。不到難吃，但就是僅止於普通，而且還吃不太飽😅。所以，也就不特別推薦，也不必把店名寫出來了...

That evening was the typhoon night and it was already past 8 o'clock, so there weren't many customers in the shop. They offered all-you-can-drink beverages, and the pizza came in two sizes: 7 inches and 10 inches. The smaller one seemed like a single serving, while the larger one was for two people or someone really hungry! 😂 I went for the 7-inch pizza, as I chose not to be too hungry 😆.

Since they made the pizza fresh, I had to wait for a while. During that time, I noticed quite a few foreign customers coming in for takeout – some from Hong Kong, some from Korea, and so on. I guess they were travelers staying near the station, and with limited choices and nowhere to go during the typhoon, they came here to buy food and brought back to their hotels. My guess 😎.

Finally, my pizza arrived, and I had chosen the black pepper beef flavor. Hmm... it was quite ordinary, nothing too terrible, but it didn't stand out either. And I couldn't quite satisfy my hunger with it 😅. So, I can't really recommend it, so there's no need to mention the name of the place...

當我吃完又繼續看看Hive上面的文章動靜的時候，還真巧被我看到下面這個比薩徽章🍕，奇怪以前都沒注意到，但突然看到，我又想要有一個了！看看它的規則，就是要買至少20顆Pizza幣，在Hive Engine上鎖倉就可以。很便宜，我一下就直接買了50顆鎖住。等了半天之後，終於看到徽章出現在我的peakd頁面上囉！！這真是屬於🍕的一天... 😊😊

After finishing my pizza, I continued browsing articles on Hive and guess what? I stumbled upon this pizza badge 🍕! Funny thing is, I never noticed it before, but when I saw it, I just had to have one too! I checked out the rules, and all it took was buying at least 20 Pizza coins and staking them on Hive Engine. Hence I bought 50 coins straight away and locked them away! After some time of waiting, finally, the badge appeared on my PeakD page! It truly was a day dedicated to 🍕! 😊😊

吃飽了... 繼續在地下街逛逛，然後就要打道回府了... 颱風跟比薩... 真是有趣的連結... 😄
