Harvesting sweet potatoes in the garden

Dear my friend

today I will share about the process of harvesting the sweet potato plants that I planted several months ago, and my feelings are of course very happy because I have had results after waiting patiently for several months, as you can see in the main picture that my sweet potatoes have nice color and tender flesh.

Btw,, at around 15.00 Indonesian time, I went to the garden to check all the sweet potato plants that I had planted in the past, and was grateful that all my sweet potato plants were growing very well and surviving as expected, and what you need to know is that I planted This sweet potato is done using the traditional method, which means I don't use chemical fertilizers and spraying, I only use rotten straw and ash left over from burning rubbish, so by utilizing these two things I managed to get good sweet potatoes, this is a simple way to get big results in the world of agriculture , which means that every farmer will explore his own potential to minimize the budget (capital) in cultivating sweet potatoes.

I planted 150 sweet potato stalks which have entered the harvest stage, and I will also increase the number of plantings in the next few days, but for now I need to focus on eradicating the weeds that have grown abundantly due to last December's rainfall, I want to say honestly that when I saw the harvest I got today, I was really excited to increase the amount for me to plant in the coming days.

and now let's go to see the process of harvesting sweet potatoes and the results (fresh sweet potatoes) that I get from my gardening routine;

sweet potato stems that grow well and rise to a height of 2.5 meters, if measured as a whole the sweet potato stem is taller than me.

The Israel grass that grows around the sweet potato stems is very beneficial for my sweet potato plants, because the grass protects the soil so that it remains moist.

I cut the sweet potato stems to make it easier for me to harvest the sweet potatoes from the ground.

and this is the result of my sweet potato plant, and this is also the first stem I harvested.

Fresh sweet potatoes the size of a teenager's hand, and these are very delicious to enjoy grilled.

I have harvested two stalks, and the tubers are almost the same size

And this is my harvest today, and I feel satisfied with the results I got from hard work and patience in gardening.

of the many plants that I have cultivated, sweet potatoes are the easiest plant to cultivate because this plant does not require special care like chilies, shallots and so on, sweet potatoes can be cultivated in the traditional way as I have done. Now, you only need to provide land and some rubbish to plant sweet potatoes, you don't need to spend a lot of capital to get fresh sweet potatoes.

If you are interested in having fresh sweet potatoes, you can take advantage of the narrow land and rubbish around you to make your sweet potato garden grow as fertile as you hope. To plant sweet potatoes you can use existing sweet potato stems, cut the sweet potato stems into small pieces and it will become a large garden in the next few months with only basic capital, namely a stalk of sweet potato.

Thank you very much for visiting my blog, I hope this post will be an inspiration for everyone to garden, see you in the next post with different plants 🥰🥰
