Fungi Friday || The beautiful of Pycnoporus sanguineus

Dear my friend

This post I prepared some beautiful mushrooms to be displayed in the #FungiFriday Community organized by @ewkaw

It could be said that mushrooms are the only and most unique species of the many other species that grow in the vast expanse of the earth, even though mushrooms grow as if they are helpless and limited by space and time, mushrooms still have different specialties and uniqueness, mushrooms are still has a place in the hearts of photography hunters.

in the previous post I shared about a type of Lingzhi mushroom, while today I found another type of mushroom, this mushroom is actually more familiar and easy to find in our city when compared to the type of mushroom that I shared previously, the mushroom that is shared today has a bright color which stand out and can attract anyone's attention when they find them growing on rotting logs in the wilderness, and I'm sure photographers will never ignore these mushrooms in their collections, even though these mushrooms are relatively simple, their splendor lies in the color that mushrooms don't have other similar things, this mushroom still has similarities to Lingzhi, but you will still find some differences when observed more closely and in detail.

I found this mushroom during a mushroom hunt today in a tropical forest, and this mushroom grew on one of the fallen and rotting logs, I picked some mushrooms and I discovered the fact that this mushroom has the aroma of lingzhi, while the mushroom leaves are thinner and harder if compared to Lingzhi mushroom leaves, while the death process I noticed this mushroom was rotting and turning into fine powder, I found several mushrooms that were starting to turn into fine powder which means that soon these mushrooms will die, now let's look at the mushroom portraits one by one which I have immortalized.

Fine powder has been seen on the mushroom leaves, and the color of the mushroom has also become blackish red, the basic color of this mushroom is golden yellow but now there is a mixture of black.

I tried to clean the fine powder on the mushroom leaves, and now I discovered another new fact, namely that the mushroom leaves had holes, but I was still curious about the process by which the powder occurred, whether it was eaten by pests or whether it happened naturally.

Mushrooms look very charming because they grow in piles like a happy family bond.

fine powder like gunpowder grains visible on the mushroom on the top right, I touched it and my hands got a sticky yellow color.

The mushroom leaves are starting to get damaged, for now we assume that the mushroom leaves are damaged due to the influence of the age of the fungus, not because of anything else, and I think that is reasonable to understand.

Pycnoporus sanguineus is a white rot saprobic fungus. It was discovered on Guana Island (part of the Virgin Islands) but occurs throughout the tropics and subtropics, usually growing on dead hardwoods. It grows in the form of a thin dry conk with a lateral attachment to its substrate, or sometimes a very short stipe. The cap is orange-red to orange, lightening to salmon/buff in age. It has concentric zonation, and is finely tomentose to nearly glabrous. The pores on the underside are round, measuring 5-6 per mm with tubes up to 2mm deep. It is inedible due to its tough texture. The brief explanation above above is the result of my search on the internet to learn more details about these mushrooms, and thank you very much to the kind people who have written a little explanation and I consider it appropriate to the type of mushroom I found today, apart from that from my experience touching the fine powder, then I think someone can use this mushroom powder for paint which can make a painting in the middle of the forest with a piece of paper, but unfortunately I'm not a good artist, if you go to the forest and you have drawing skills and use the mushroom powder, I'm sure it will be a great work of art.

Thank you very much for reading, I hope this post is useful, see you in the next post 🥰🥰🥰
