Ah... So the first thing came to my mind is you have jumped in to the pool with the phone and keys and wallet in the pocket 🤣 that happens to me some 22 years ago at the beach. No the Sony Ericsson didn't survive the dip, so was the car key remote key fob.
There's one more occasion I was in a spa, I have my phone on top of my own towel whilst I was enjoying the dip. The moment I pull the towel from the towel rack 🤣🤣🤣 in it goes the phone to the tub. The blackberry recovered pretty well after 3 days of drying, except the speaker phone sounded like underwater even it's perfectly dried.

ah yes, the old speaker sounding tinny from this point forward glitch. I've had this happen. It's happening now on a device of mine that one of the main reasons why I bought it was that it said it was waterproof. I guess there isn't a whole bunch of laws requiring people to be truthful in their adverts here and well, I should know better since I have been here a very long time.
Waterproof as in it can sustain a splash 😜 not fully submerge.
a paper book is water resistant.
