I seen that movie, it's a very good movie in my opinion... You would need a fenced and armed house though, or it will be easy to crash windows and get it... As for electricity, here is not that simple because you don't produce your own one, the panels produce electricity that is sent to electricity company and in returns it sends you the equivalent for free, so in case of a collapse you are fucked up lol
