There were basically three essentials of life; food shelter and clothing. note the word 'were' instead of 'are' in that first statement because that was then. We most times fail to understand the changes in times and seasons. The fast pace by technology is mostly undermined. Inasmuch as this tech has been leveraged both in illicit activities, the fact remains this, every thing will always be leveraged by both good and bad parties. Nevertheless, we have to clearly address what technology is at its reason of emergence.

We are leaving in a world where employees feel threatened as technology continues to advance. The fear of a massive workforce layoff courtesy to what tech brings to the table remains a fight for different parties. Before I further proceed, let me ask, from the inception of technology till date, has unemployment increased or decreased? The latter is undoubtedly the truth. Technology has helped open up the economy globally. When I see people continually argue about high unemployment possibilities through technology I always shudder my shoulders because I see a lack of era trend in their thinking.

The three plus technology

In a world of currently over 8 billion people, taking out technology, where do you think we would be? It will be like launching a nuclear missile globally which sucks life out of individuals. The introduction of technology is to make life easier and accessible. Look around you, how easy do we get things done or access the needful thanks to technology. Maybe taking a selfie is not much to consider yet if you were to backdate the history of the camera, you would come to such full understanding. So what are the current essentials of life?; food, shelter, clothing and technology.

In short, technology has helped to drive the three. We have seen global markets opened up for commodity transactions thanks to technology. Food insecurity has been tackled through this process. I once talked about how web3 will help the agro industry and the global health in web3 will be a sustainer of better agriculture and green web3 environment. We have to admit the essentiality of technology in our daily living.

We have been opened up to endless possibilities, borderless transactions and business, access to information globally just at a flip of an Internet page. I see technology as a link beyond our reach. Yet, in the midst of this, a lot stay doubting and panicking about unemployment without realizing tech has already turned employees to employers and self employed. Have you checked the area of remote jobs and what it has done to individual lives, even the disabled can access employment through this process. In short, let me take at least a paragraph and address this issue of unemployment.

As I have showered a little in the last paragraph, technology is indeed a game changer. It's only a pity that not all seems to (or probably wants to) understand. Why should you be complaining about massive layoff that technology brings, especially when you have access to the internet, web2 and web3. Of course you have a social media account, what do you do with it? Maybe you don't understand what has been presented to you. The entire idea here is to create more owners( entrepreneurs and individual businesses) than employees. Which will the economy thrive more? More employees or more self employed or owners? Of course the latter speaks for itself.

Adding to that, if I were to venture into the massive disruption that web3 is introducing through decentralized platforms maybe you would come into the limelight. With the idea of putting more resources and benefits into the pockets of individual internet users rather than a certain group I must say, the path for sustainable asset sharing is the internet. In a world run by finance, this three essentials have been in subjection but the added technology has helped create the opportunity to eat good food, live in good houses and wear good clothes. Maybe you are realizing why I said that was then.

There has indeed been a reshaping of life essentials through the addition of technology. The present panic about technology is artificial intelligence (AI). While many will be doubting, I await the opportunities it will present to me. Do you know where the world would be if AI was paired with web3?. We really need to dig deeper rather than stay complaining on the surface. data is the new oil money and several industries are already reaping its rewards. If you are thinking of one, Reddit is a typical example who just cash out in millions just for giving access to their well of data.

Thriving in the current world system depends on how vast you've spread your tentacles in the area of technology. Amazon knows this, Google, X(formerly Twitter) and the many likes have added tech to their essential collection. I see a world of reduced unemployment as AI and web3 continue to spread and have adoptions. humans will work less for more, a system that is indeed better than the former. As tech continues to advance, my only advice will be for you to advance with it. Technology is now life's essential with the added three.

To conclude let me add, numbers always speak better. Why we are still witnessing massive unemployment and poverty in the globe is because of a lack of technology inclusion. Times and seasons have changed. The days of subsistence leaving are over. We are now globalized and we have to adjust our mentality to fit into the system. Food is and will remain a vital thing for human existence, so also will shelter and clothing. Yet, we should not neglect the new system that makes all this to be easily accessible and it is their fourth addition, technology.
