My Fingers Hurt Because Of How Rising Star Staking Work 🖱️👆😭

A nice change to UI will really come handy! It takes 2 clicks at 2 places to stake when new NFTs go live 🎼 Recently we had 5 NFT releases very closely. Luckily I had some Starbits ready myself. Then I had to go through all that misery of clicks.

Look What I Had To Go Through 🥹

  • User experience is very important for games
  • Web 2 users are spoiled with easy & fun UI designs
  • We need more Web 2 folks onboard to expand #risingstar and #hive
  • Fancy UI changes can even make it easy to invest/stake large amounts

Staked 94K More 🏦

That's another 188 clicks! That's not easy! It takes time. Worst part is some players might give up staking in middle of process. If you want friction - have it where users want to withdraw tokens!

We Have An Existing Example 👀

Look at how easy it's working with bids. I just stick with +1 for bids. But whales might wanna go with +100 to drive away other bids. No need for some fancy magic.

  • Stake 10K
  • Stake 50K

That's 2 smaller button to add below stake 1000 button. If devs feel like going for a more fancy setup with custom bid amounts I'd be a fan. But I realize this Record Staking isn't the biggest pressing matter to focus on.

I just like to see some improvements to my gameplay life. Even they don't happen - I'll still play Rising Star. I don't plan to leave any soon.

Extra Tip 🎓

Use mobile to stake! I've tried both desktop & mobile. Usually I prefer desktop when I can. Record staking is different though. ....

  • Hold your phone with both hands or place it on a table
  • Get 2 fingers ready
  • Press the button to stake 1000 with 1 finger
  • Press OK with other finger
  • Memorize locations
  • Repeat as long as you want 🤯

It's on the list! As I am the only dev it's hard to find the time to do everything and I prefer to work on new features that are useful for the maximum number of players so this on is still a little way down.
