If you lose weight too quickly and not through a lifestyle change you will put that weight back on and more. Exercise has to be a part of any diet if you are looking to lose weight.

yep. Virtually everyone that I have known that got thin quick by a surgical or impossible-to-maintain crash diet gained all the weight back. This ends up leading to depression as well. People looking for a quick fix will find it (if they have money) but this does nothing to address the root problem.
