My device is due for replacement and I have been really contemplating the phone brand I should go for next, once I am able to save up enough money. I currently use an iPhone 7 and I have been using it for quite a while--about a year and some months, actually. Before using apple, I always told users of the brand that I did not think I can ever know how to use the gadget, I thought it was too complicated and everything about it was too different. It took me using it to realize that it wasn't actually hard, and anyone can definetely operate the device.

However, as different as the apple brand, having a specific operating system and all the other thungs that makes it unique, it is still not a perfect phone. I won't go too deep into it's shortcomings but focus on few to talk about. These are also the things preventing me from making apple my next device choice. These are problems that almost every iPhone users complain about and it is actually kind of annoying.

The first issue I have with Apple devices is that their batteries get too hot, especially the series before the iPhone 11 upward. Personally, when my phone gets hot like that, it starts seizing and misbehaving in general. I have seen a lot of iPhone users complain of this, they even try to develop ways to cool their phones down, like placing device on a cold sachet water, putting it inside a fridge or freezer, and so on. Another major issue I have with this device is the battery life. There has been developments in that aspect in the newer series, but then, we all know how much it costs to get those.

Overall, I genuinely think that iPhones are great devices and has a whole lot of latest technologies an android might not be able too give you. They have great cameras as well and that is one of the things that have given the brand a lot of attention from users.

I have never used a samsung device in my life so I can't say much about it. However, I do feel like this is the time to explore it. Moving from my iPhone back to an android device will be a noticable shift, but I have never been an Apple freak, so I will be fine. I have tried to make alot of research and do a lot of comparisons, and I think I have made my choice. My budget is not very huge, so I will not be going for the latest editions, but still a very good one. I will be going for the s-series, and the one of the S10 series (I have not made up my mind on this part).

The only fear I have about samsung devices is the screen and how costly they can be. I think that is one thing that scares people the most about the device. I will just make sure I am extra carefully and prevent it from dropping. I will also buy an original protective screen, just to be on a safer side.

I would love to ask the team you are on though--So, Apple or Samung?

Thanks for reading

If I had to choose only between Apple and Samsung, I choose Samsung. But I really prefer Asus or Redmagic, since my use of the phone is focused on gaming.

Just a year and some months and it due? Like it outdated or no longer performing at its best? Anyway, iPhone 7 is way too far and almost outdated.

I will be going for the s-series, and the one of the S10 series...

You will definitely enjoy that device. The first samsung phone I used is S6 back in 2019 and it served me its purpose and I enjoyed every bit of it which inspired me to get and upgrade to another Samsung device which is Samsung Galaxy Note 10 plus. It is almost 3 years now and it still feels like a brand new one. No lagging, no hanging, no draining of battery. By the way, the camera is topnotch. I am enjoying it to the fullest and still using my S6 as well. I intend to upgrade to S22 by next year.

The only thing that might make me go for iPhone is to show of but I don't have any intention of that for now. As a business minded person, Samsung is my pick. They also have good cameras which I use to snap my art works and photography. My note 10+ also has an S-pen which I use to create digital works.

The only fear I have about samsung devices is the screen and how costly they can be.

Well, that cam always be avoided by putting it screen guide. My two devices have that and I pamper the phones like eggs. Just ensure you keep it in safer places. So no fear.
For the cost? It is worth the price. I am happy I paid such huge amount for it.

Yeah, it wasn’t actually gotten new, it was UK used and yes, it is truly almost outdated. Some of the apps don’t work again because of the iOS version I have on it.

Awww, you just gave me the best confirmation to get a Samsung device and nothing else, can’t wait to explore it☺️ And yes, I will definitely treat it like an egg too, following in your footsteps.

Well, even my S6 wasn't a new one. It was a UK used phone which I got from Lagos before I upgraded to Note 10+ which was a new one gotten from Ali express.

Lol, okay na.

Oh wow, I guess maybe it’s not totally bad to get a UK used Samsung. You know, I got to realize that there is no new Samsung s10 series anymore. I wanted to buy a new phone, and was thinking twice to get the UK used one instead.

I prefer Samsung, I love how fast it is and their specifications generally. They also have very good cameras.

Though, I would still love to have an Iphone.

Yeah, I do agree with you. I really want to get a Samsung and maybe later in the future, but a good iPhone as a flex phone so it wouldn't be doing much.

Well I use the brand that I can afford 😅. But in general, for me, It is less about the brand and more about properties of the device.

Yeah, I totally agree with you.

I love xiaomi as well, I have used it before and it really served me well. I was almost robbed and the phone dropped, shattering the screen into pieces. I fixed it but it hasn’t been the same since that time🥹.
