South Korea's first military satellite successfully launched and more records are broken by SpaceX
2020 is undoubtedly the beginning of a decade of great space exploration. We are facing the beginning of an incredible journey for humanity. Today thanks to SpaceX, we have all the attention focused on space and what we can achieve for the future.
With the launch of the Anasis-II mission this week, Elon Musk's company achieved the feat of breaking two records. The first is that Falcon 9 became the fastest reusable rocket in history with only 51 days and the other is that in this launch the company managed to recover both halves of the fairing, which are located on the nose of the rocket whose name is called " fairing".
Since 2018, there have been a total of 12 attempts and the company has always managed to recover only one half. I always thought that this type of technology would take a while for us to be able to use it as we see in science fiction films, but what we see today is actually that we are on a promising start.
One of the obvious reasons for worrying about reusing the canerages is that it makes the company less cost and it is estimated that the two halves cost about US $ 6 million. The possibility of recovering them before they fall into the water reduces the chances of damage and the reuse process becomes faster.
The Anasis-II mission highlights South Korea's 1st military satellite, this satellite was designed to provide secure communications over a wide coverage that goes to a geostationary orbit. The satellite also becomes the first equipment of the type used by Asians. The event also marks the 50th anniversary of the South Korean Defense Development Agency.
It is clear that SpaceX will always try to break its own records such as decreasing the time from weeks to days with the tracks and I would not be surprised if this feat can be achieved in less than 5 years. In August we will have the return of the astronauts Hurley and Behnken that were launched into space by Crew Dragon. In September we will have another launch with 4 crew members by Crew-1 into space. More emotions await us soon.
2020 é sem dúvidas o começo de uma década de grandes explorações espaciais. Estamos diante de um início de uma jornada incrível para a humanidade. Hoje graças a SpaceX, temos todas as atenções voltadas para o espaço e no que podemos conseguir para o futuro.
Com o lançamento da missão Anasis-II nesta semana, a empresa de Elon Musk conseguiu o feito de quebrar dois recordes. O primeiro é que Falcon 9 se tornou o foguete mais rapidamente reusável na história com apenas 51 dias e o outro é que neste lançamento a empresa conseguiu recuperar ambas as metades da carenagem, que ficam localidazas no nariz do foguete cujo o nome é chamado de "fairing".
Desde 2018, foram um total de 12 tentativas e sempre a empresa conseguia recuperar apenas uma das metades. Sempre achei que esse tipo de tecnologia iria demorar um pouco para que nós pudéssemos utilizar assim como vemos em filmes de ficção científica, mas o que vemos hoje na verdade é que estamos em um início promissor.

A missão Anasis-II destaca o 1º satélite militar da Coreia do Sul, este satélite foi projetado para fornecer comunicações seguras em uma ampla cobertura que vai para uma órbita geoestacionária. O satélite também se torna o primeiro equipamento do tipo utilizado pelos asiáticos. O evento marca também os 50 anos da Agência para o Desenvolvimento da Defesa da Coreia do Sul.
É nítido que SpaceX irá buscaar sempre tentar quebrar seus próprios recordes como diminuir o tempo de semanas para dias com as caneragens e não me surpreenderia se esse feito possa ser conquistado em menos de 5 anos. Agosto teremos a volta dos astronautas Hurley e Behnken que foram lançados ao espaço pelo Crew Dragon. Em setembro teremos outo lançamento com 4 tripulantes pela Crew-1 ao espaço. Mais emoções nos aguardam em breve.
