Stop Searching for Visuals. Build One That Moves With Your Music
Want to create your own animated visuals for YouTube videos, blogs, presentations, or music content without building everything from scratch?
I’ve made the TouchDesigner TOX file for this project completely free.

You can download the file, drop it into your own TouchDesigner project, connect your favorite music, and immediately start experimenting. The network is designed to be simple enough to understand while still producing visuals that feel alive and unique.
If you’re new to the setup, watch the video below where I break down exactly how everything works and show which parameters have the biggest impact on the final result.
Why Use Generic Stock Visuals When You Can Create Your Own?
One thing I’ve noticed while creating content is that many creators spend hours searching for the perfect background visual. The problem is that everyone else is using the same footage.
Instead of hunting for visuals, I wanted to create a system that generates them from the music itself.
The result is a simple TouchDesigner network that converts audio information into visuals that continuously evolve and react to whatever track you feed into it. Every song creates a different result.Every tweak creates a different personality. And because the TOX file is completely open, you can modify it however you like.
How It Works
The idea behind the project is straightforward:
Audio data is captured inside CHOPs, converted into TOP data, and then used to drive the visual system. From there, the network transforms that information into patterns, movement, and textures that respond to the music in real time. Even though the setup itself isn’t overly complicated, the outputs can become surprisingly complex depending on the audio source.
A calm ambient track might create slow flowing motion, while a high-energy song can generate something much more aggressive and chaotic.
Swap a color ramp.
Adjust a few values.
Try a different palette.
Suddenly the same system can feel futuristic, dreamy, cyberpunk, minimal, or abstract. The structure remains the same, but the personality changes entirely.
