The Health Effects of Eating Noodles

Many of us might not know but one of the things that I have come to discover is that our ignorance have actually cost us a whole lot of things beyond what we can ever imagine of. There are actually something we did or we eat that we might not even know that it has a negative side effects on us. If there is something I have come to understand, it is the fact that our health is really fragile and must be carefully handled with care.

Indomie as the name is called. Some call it Indomie while some call it noodles. But I generally used noodles because it sounds to be the most common names that houses all forms of noodles we have. It has become so common in various household all over the world most especially in Nigeria. The fact that it is cheap and quite easy to prepare unlike some food makes it so common.

But the reality is, even though it is actually so easy to prepare, it has a whole lot of health implications that many of us are not even aware of and today, I will like to talk about the other effects of eating noodles. Let me start from the nutritional point of view. Even though it is actually common, noodles is not nutritionally complete. Major pack of noodles contains carbohydrates and fats and does not not contain the most important nutrients like vitamins and generally minerals that it should contains.

Apart from that, medically when we have high sodium in our body system, it is very dangerous. Noodles on its own have a very high level of sodium and consuming them often might leads to heart disease, kidney issues and even high blood pressure because these three health issues I mention are attached to high sodium in our body system. The most unfortunate thing is that a lot of people whether in Nigeria or even the world does not know this.

In fact, if you will ask manu people, their favourite food is always noodles. Some are even addicted to it. Noodles also contains high level of additives and preservatives which are all dangerous to ones body. The funniest thing is those artificial additives that is always found in those processed foods and fast foods might not instantly manifest in side effects. It is the long term health effects that is actually so dangerous.

There are also many more side effects that I can mention. Examples like weight gain and more. Let me strike the balance as I conclude, I am not saying you should not eat noodles at all. But what I am saying is reduce the excessive consumption of it. Everything that has advantages will have disadvantages and even though noodles might have a lot of advantages such as been cheap or easy to prepare, it has a lot of disadvantages and health Implications. The funniest thing is those implications might not actually manifest instantly. Health is wealth and can not be traced to anything.

Thank you for keeping us informed about healthy food. I am fifty years old and I have to admit that I have often not eaten healthily. But now I want to change my way of eating and I want to start learning about what are the healthiest foods. This post has been useful to me in expanding my knowledge about healthy foods. !LOLZ

I remember how I use to eat a lot of noodles those days when I was still single but I use to try to spice it up with vegetables though, I don't know if that helps in any way. But I can't do that any more because I need to look out for health benefits for my child and prepare varieties of meals that are healthy for him.
