The Future of Tech: Exciting or Scary?

Our lives have been impacted in many ways by technology, no doubt about that. Today, many things have been proven possible with the power of technology, and with this, humans continue to seek to push beyond the limits of technology, just like we have seen with Cryonics, where through science it's believed that people can be revived back to life in the future, so they preserve their bodies in ultra-low temperatures.

It's not bad to push the limits of technology. This is because it was through going beyond existing technology that many breakthroughs have been possible today. A good example is the mobile phones been upgraded into the smartphones we use today. Many complex things in the past can now be easily done with this gadget. This has been one of the ways we've seen technology being useful and helpful.

Today, advancements in technology have brought about vaccines, organ transplants, advanced surgeries that are all saving lives. With automation and robotics, tasks that used to be complex have been simplified. These systems have proven to be useful in various industries, making processes more efficient and reducing the need for manual labor.

With the advent of social media, we have platforms and online communities that facilitate connections between people worldwide, fostering collaboration, sharing of ideas, and cultural exchange. However, technology has brought its share of challenges to humanity.

We can talk about cybersecurity threats, digital addiction, privacy concerns, job displacement due to automation, social isolation, misinformation, environmental impact, and health issues as some of the problems associated with the widespread use of technology. Do you think about the future of technology?

Does it look exciting or a little scary? While we seek innovative ways of doing things easier, have we thought about a future where robots will be doing all the chores, freeing us up from the time we would need to do them ourselves? What about jobs? Will the future be about robots taking them all? What about social media and the trendy lifestyles, the nudity, we see or portrayed by people? What will it all be like for the youngsters who are mostly influenced by social media these days?

I have always said that we can't stop the speed of technological innovation. We are yet to see much more than we have ever seen, but I think the key is to be mindful tech users. The truth is, technology is a tool, and just like any tool, it depends on how we use it. We are the ones who choose how we want to use technology; for instance, we are the ones to decide to embrace the good stuff, like learning a new language with an app, while being aware of the potential pitfalls, like spending too much time glued to a screen. By using technology wisely, we can make sure it continues to be a force for good in our lives.

I love tech and am excited about all of the amazing improvements that it CAN bring to the world- not that all of it will- especially when it gets into the wrong hands, but if people like us stick together, then we can shape it to use only for good!

Thanks for your thoughtful comment. I love Tech as well and I know the future is exciting with Tech but then we can't also just ignore the fact that there are challenges they may present that can put our lives or even our world at risk. It's all about learning how we can make good use of them.
