Would We Discover All The Natural Laws Of The Universe Here on Earth ?

Looking back from the beginning of man's evolution up till this moment, we seem to have achieved quite a lot or have we ?

After reading some articles/reports recently of which we would discuss later, together with some brief moments of introspection, I'm now convinced that we are barely scratching the surface. With the current paradigm of science, it seems like we are on a course to discovering all the natural laws governing our universe, especially the fundamental ones, with this fundamental laws we could build upon them to arrive at the more complex laws that governs our physical reality. We seem to be pursuing the truth and currently, it seems like what's left to be discovered, generally speaking isn't very much. In physics what seems to be remaining is a theory of everything, which is expected to take care of current conundrums both at cosmic and subatomic/atomic scales. In biology origin of life, especially how the fundamental laws of physics is able to bring into existence the concept of "life", before one begins to talk about evolution and biodiversity. In neuroscience, consciousness, including drawing in other fields such as computer science when intelligence and other human-like cognitive abilities originates non-biologically. E.t.c

But seriously, are we really pursuing the truth?

I recently came across two articles one of them was about hydrogen, we should be familiar with the element. Here on earth, it exists as a gas - one molecule containing two hydrogen atoms, and also a nonmetal at normal earth conditions. This is common knowledge but in the article, it was discussed about hydrogen being a metal. Wait, what in the actual.....😳
Hydrogen at normal earth conditions is an insulator but we know one property of metals is that due the unique arrangement of their atoms of which electrons are loosely bound, they can conduct electricity. So what's the fuss about hydrogen being a metal?

The planet Jupiter for example has the strongest magnetic field compared to other planets in our solar system but there seems to be a mystery and it's that it's constituents are liquids and mostly gases, by mass there are more hydrogen (most of it's mass comes from hydrogen). The constituents of Jupiter when observed here on earth aren't magnetic substances and the question is, where does the magnetic field of Jupiter come from and why is it the strongest?

Here on earth and from the perspective of materials, magnetic fields usually comes from metals (though not all metals) or substances containing certain kinds of metals. The leading hypothesis is that in Jupiter some of the hydrogen present have become a liquid metal due to very high pressure and this metallic hydrogen is believed to be a superconductor. Such high pressure can't be found or produced here on earth, that's why hydrogen is the way we see it here, especially nonmetallic and scientists have tried, and still trying to convert hydrogen to a metal here on earth, all attempts have produced null results, especially because the pressure is just too high to achieve. Remember that is just an hypothesis, there's no concrete evidence that's the actual case.

The other article which happened to be a report was about the periodic table, our current periodic table stops at an element with atomic number 118, "oganesson" is the name of this element and it was artificially produced. However, the densest natural occurring element here on earth is "osmium" (atomic number 76) it's literally denser than the core of our planet.

But then, there have been attempts to synthesize or artificially produce elements with atomic numbers beyond that of oganesson (118), unfortunately for scientists it has been impossible. One may be forced to believe that there can't exist elements beyond oganesson and in fact, theories predicts most of the elements that would be found to have atomic numbers beyond 118 would likely be unstable and therefore decay to elements of lesser atomic numbers. However, beyond our planet and within our solar system, scientists have found that certain asteroids seem to possess natural occurring elements with density higher than that of osmium, which means there likely exists elements with atomic numbers beyond 118 (elements beyond atomic number 92 were artificially produced). What's even more surprising is that those elements in the asteroids seems to be stable.

I ask again, are we really pursuing the truth?

Or rather, our current understanding of how the universe operates are they actually the objective truth?

Would we actually discover the truth or all the fundamental laws here on Earth?

These are the kind of questions that came to my mind. Those two scenarios presented earlier are merely observations within our solar system and that we are able to observe them with relatively more details compared to worlds beyond our solar system and this is because of the close proximity. Imagine the kind of other weird and unimaginable observations that we could discover when the proximity between us and other unexplored worlds (in the sea of relatively infinite galaxies) increases, especially with the fact that our journey to colonizing the universe seems to have just began.

I however, have come to the conclusion that how we think of or conceptualise the universe to operate has been guided mostly by experiences here on earth. We seem to be trapped in our own kind of perception, evolution could be blamed for this.
Given that the physical conditions in other worlds beyond earth would be different and that we are successful in adapting and surviving, we are likely to evolve newer kinds of perception of how the universe works. It is likely possible that the view from the earthling perspective wasn't really how the universe works or it was a more convenient way for we earthlings to understand the universe, implying that what we currently think maybe the truth isn't an objective truth.

What this also means is that answers to certain scientific and philosophical questions/mysteries may never be actually answered while we still stay here on earth, we still have a very long way to go. We may discover laws much weirder than quantum mechanics and general relativity.

If you ask me, I would say that geniuses more better than their predecessors (including Einstein and Newton) are on the infinitely long cue, waiting for their time to materialize.

I guess this is where we conclude, have a thoughtful day and don't forget to take every scientific paradigm with a pinch of salt, chances are that they would always get overturned.
