JisuLife Life5 Plus Handheld Fan Review: 5-Speed Settings and Longer Battery Life Than a Smartphone.

I bought a rechargeable fan this week. It cost me a lot—quite a bit for the wallet of a student. However, considering how useful it will be in my everyday life, maybe spending a little extra for a high-quality fan isn’t such a bad idea.

Here in the Philippines, the weather is often warm and humid. As a student who commutes to a local state university in a non-air-conditioned, packed public transportation, plus the irritating heat of the scorching sun, I can't help but sweat profusely. This prompted me to invest in something that would help alleviate my excessive sweating.

This week, the fan I ordered from Shopee arrived at my door. I excitedly grabbed it and took it to my room. Upon carefully unboxing the package, I was surprised to see a beautiful box, though it had a slight dent in the corner.

My mother thought I had bought a new phone because the box looked similar to that of a newly purchased smartphone. I couldn’t deny its resemblance, but I quickly clarified that it was just a rechargeable fan.

At first glance, you can tell this product wasn’t cheap—the specifications were clearly presented, the design was minimal yet professional-looking, and all other valuable information was nicely imprinted. Given this, it left the impression that the product inside was worth the price.

Let’s set aside the box and now, let go what’s inside the JisuLife Life5 Plus.

Inside the box was a black, matte-finished rechargeable fan, along with a free short white USB Type-C cable, a lanyard, and a user manual. Focusing on the weight of the fan, I can say that it is quite heavy compared to the first rechargeable fan I acquired. In comparison, my smartphone is lighter than the JisuLife Handheld Fan Life5 Plus. Knowing this, some might complain that it's too heavy to be considered handy. I don’t complain, though, because it's pretty normal for a device with a 6000 mAh battery capacity.

As for the texture, I feel it could be improved. Honestly, I don’t like the smooth and slippery texture of the handle, as I think it might slip out of my hands, especially if they get sweaty. The good news is that they included a lanyard, which can be worn around the wrist. If you accidentally drop the fan, the lanyard will keep it safe.

Regarding the color, I’d say the matte coating is absolutely perfect. It prevents smudges and fingerprints from making the fan look dirty. Much like the screen of our phones, smudges and fingerprints on the fan would make it appear unclean.

When it comes to design, I can say that it’s not only aesthetically pleasing but also well-designed to improve its function. One feature I noticed with the JisuLife Handheld Fan Life5 Plus is how they intentionally blocked the middle of the fan, allowing the air to be pushed out through the sides in a wide outward flow. This helps the fan blow air over a much larger area.

Now, for performance, the fan has five speed settings, which are more than enough to keep me cool in warm weather. I’ve been using it for a while, and I find that setting number 3 is strong enough to keep my sweat at bay. Settings 4 and 5 are also great if you want more wind intensity. The only downside to using settings 4 and 5 is the noise. The motor becomes quite loud, and although it’s tolerable, it might be distracting for some. According to their website, it produces only 40dB of noise, but I’m not sure if that applies to all fan settings.

Lastly, regarding the battery, as I mentioned earlier, it has a staggering 6000 mAh capacity. This is larger than my Android smartphone’s 5000 mAh battery. To test how long it would last, I used it for a whole day on setting number 3. Surprisingly, it was still running at night before I went to sleep. I even used it at the max setting to see if it would hit low battery, but it didn’t. According to their website, the 4000 mAh version of the JisuLife Handheld Fan Life5 Plus lasts up to 16 hours depending on the fan setting. Since I have the 6000 mAh version, it likely lasts even longer.

Here’s the full specification:
Brand: JisuLife
Product Model: FA43
Product Name: Handheld Fan Life 5 Plus
Battery Capacity: 6000mAh
Product size: 82 x 43 x 167mm

The price of the JisuLife Handheld Fan Life5 Plus on Shopee is $16.08. However, by using the installment payment option, I ended up paying just $7.30, including interest. While I saved a lot, it was still a bit expensive for my wallet. But, as Warren Buffett said, “Price is what you pay. Value is what you get.” Although I spent money, the benefits I’ve gained from it far exceed the price I paid. It was worth it! I just wish I had known about this product sooner.

😂ooh you guys have paylater there too? I think they look pretty solid compared to the cheaper ones on the market. I never bought these thing because they're always broken just by 3-4 times use.

Although I had never used paylater before, the recent 9.9 sale plus the $10 discount voucher for using paylater as the payment method tempted me to give it a go 😂. I just hope this fan would last huhu.
