JUST A VOICE COMMAND AWAY
I like the soft life. Oh yes, I know we all do. Every now and then, I wonder what life would be like to have some form of robot or machinery do most of my tasks, even the very basic, routine ones. Thankfully, there's lot of tech devices around making life simpler. Some, I own, sone others, I am unable to afford at the moment, sone others, which are yet to be made but I can already quite picture.
I'm pretty sure, though, that, of my routine tasks, no machinery would be able to satisfy me in the area of keeping stuff pristine and tidy. I think so.
Yesterday, I had just finished brushing my teeth and had just lain in bed, thrown my duvet over me, and was getting comfortable when it occurred to me that I hadn't locked the back door. I was torn between if I had and hadn't and cause I couldn't deal with the back and forth in my head, plus safety first, I grudgingly got up and went to check for myself. I'm guessing a number of you already know how frustrating it can be. You might already know how annoying it can be to have settled into a warm, perfect position and be reminded that you haven't turned off a bulb, or haven't done something, or even that you feel the need to use the convenience, yeah? That was it.
In the movie, Marry me, which I saw a while back, there was this scene where the actor, holdng a tab-like gadget, tapped on the screen and the blinds were drawn, itv came on, lights came on, fireplace lit up. It was amazing. It's no new stuff, but since I don't own it yet, of course, it amazes me somewhat.
There, that's what i would want. A smart home. One run by voice commands and fingerprints and apps.
A home where I don't need to personally open my door. I could have some voice-over tech where I just give an instruction, and maybe the device will require that i give a door unlock password.
The kind where if someone is approaching my premises, I get a notification. The kind where if my doorbell rings, I could see who's at the door, and if I please, they could see my face too. The kind that I don't have to manually control the smart devices in my home from switches to appliances to doors. The kind that could help me run through schedules for my day, maybe act in like an accountability partner.
It's just so cool to think of, and I can't wait to have them for me since most are already in use. There are a lot more other smart devices but I'll end this here.
Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!
