ALL NATURAL??

Technology has done us so much good. Very often, new inventions are made which makes our lives more fun and most are readily available in our devices.

Too many persons love to take pictures and just stock up on the memories for the future and it can be very pleasurable to get good pictures.
For bad pictures? There's some reduced vibe and horrible feeling it accompanies.

But what happens when we have tools in our gadgets that help our pictures come out great in spite of the odds. Of course, everyone would embrace it.
Snapchat, for example, is a beauty enhancing app that has been on the rave for it's many alluring filters. An app that has come to stay. Almost everyone has used it a time or two. But it is nothing that I fancy.

Except I am using the phone of another to take pictures (rarely), I do not use filters. I don't know, but I just find the normal cameras quite good enough. With filters, I see too many wrongs and artficials(in my opinion).

And no! I don't have any of those enhancing apps(Snapchat inclusive). There's barely enough storage space on my device for applications I need, more less for those.

Not here to say it is wrong that others use it. I find it beautiful when they do. Besides, filters are made to be used.

One time, I had taken a picture with this friend and I used the normal camera, pictures came out nice but when she viewed them, she told me, "please, delete these things. I no fine for the picture. Let's use Snapchat.

I deleted a few and let the rest be. Whatever made her feel better, that's it.

But, I tell you, she looked so good in those pictures but she had over indulged herself with filters that it became a norm.

I have quite some contacts who are filter Kings and queens. One girl, used these ones so much, I thought it was her normal camera. Since it had been a while I saw her, I assumed it was glow up. She posts pictures of herself every single day. Really nice pictures. Same filter mostly.

Lol. Don't know if she made a mistake but she posted this video update which I watched so many times over. She had too many spots all over her face. Far too many. She's fair complexioned and it looked like she had measles. Was gross. I wondered if, since it looked so bad in pictures, how it'd look in reality.

I try not too raise my expectations on the physical appeal of people especially with what I see on the media. Too many times, you see people look the opposite of what they post. Too many times, I have seen in reality and had my mouth agape.

You like filters cause they enhance your look? Go ahead.
But you'd be doing harm to you if you overindulge and cannot do without.

Meanwhile, I read/hear people talk about those(read as girls) who take pictures with filters and upload them to deceive. Coming from those who borrow their friends iPhone and/or do not upload pictures of them in not-so-nice looking backgrounds, it can be confusing.

People take pictures for the fun of it. They don't put it out so you see the pretty version of them. And that is why, when you ask for physical meetups, they readily agree and seem to not notice how surprised you are about their physical appearance.

Except in the times when I really do not assume it was a an edited picture, I've not been too expectant. For the many times I got really shocked, it was because picture angle and pose styles had done some magic.

Other than that, it's not a problem.

Thanks for gracing this post.
Greetings!

Kudos to you. I finally found one who doesn't have a photo enhancement app on her phone. I bet, you'd make a good career person.

It's a personal choice. I don't totally dislike those things.

Good career person? Well, I don't know about that 😊
