Mi Experiencia al Cambiar Las Baterías de Equipos de Computación

Saludos amigos de Hive y de @geekzone, hoy voy a compartir con ustedes mi experiencia en la instalación de las baterías de los equipos de computación de un Centro Bolivariano de Informática y Telemática CBIT, en el municipio Zamora, estado Aragua.

Greetings, friends at Hive and @geekzone. Today I am going to share with you my experience installing batteries in computer equipment at a Bolivarian Center for Information Technology and Telematics (CBIT) in the municipality of Zamora, Aragua state.

Cabe destacar que estos equipos son computadores marca Vit, que tienen sistema operativo Canaima 7.0, cuyo problema es que no podían conectarse a internet, ya que había que cambiar la fecha y la hora, diariamente, porque no se guardaba los cambios. Cuando sucede esto es porque la batería que tiene cada equipo en la tarjeta madre, ya no funciona y requiere el reemplazo, para que se guarden en el Bios del computador. Esta se llaman baterías de llama CMOS, duran entre dos y tres años, permiten guardar la configuración del equipo y las fechas y hora

It should be noted that these computers are Vit brand computers running the Canaima 7.0 operating system, whose problem is that they could not connect to the internet because the date and time had to be changed daily, as the changes were not saved. When this happens, it is because the battery on each computer's motherboard no longer works and needs to be replaced so that the settings are saved in the computer's BIOS. These are called CMOS batteries, they last between two and three years, and they allow the computer's settings and the date and time to be saved.

Asimismo, para solucionar esta falla, se desconecto de la corriente y procedimos a destapar cada uno de estos equipos, para extraer la batería, que está instalada en la tarjeta madre, luego se reemplaza con la batería nueva que son de 3 voltios. Después se reinicio el equipo y presionamos la tecla Suprimir, procediendo a entrar al Bios de la máquina, para cambiar la fecha y la hora.Una vez reiniciada, se observó que el equipo cambio la fecha, pero la hora no estaba correcta. Busque la forma de cambiar la hora de forma gráfica pero esta no se guardaba.

To fix this problem, we disconnected the power supply and opened up each of the devices to remove the battery installed on the motherboard, replacing it with a new 3-volt battery. We then restarted the device and pressed the Delete key to enter the machine's BIOS and change the date and time. Once restarted, we observed that the device changed the date, but the time was not correct. I looked for a way to change the time graphically, but it would not save.

Generalmente cuando se hacen cambios en el Bios de la computadora, esto se guarda y automáticamente se guardan la hora y fecha actualizada. En vista de esto entre por la consola del sistema operativo Canaima, mediante la clave de superusuario y utilice un comando para cambiar la fecha y hora del sistema operativo, el cual funcionó correctamente. Este fue el comando utilizado:

sudo date --set "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS"

Ejemplo:
sudo date --set "2025-09-24 10:30:00"

Generally, when changes are made to the computer's BIOS, these are saved and the updated time and date are automatically saved. In view of this, log in to the Canaima operating system console using the superuser password and use a command to change the operating system's date and time, which worked correctly. This was the command used:

sudo date --set "YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS"

Example:
sudo date --set "2025-09-24 10:30:00"

Finalmente, se reiniciaron cada equipo para ver si guardó la hora y la fecha, luego se hizo la prueba de conexión a internet, sin ningún problema. De esta forma logramos solventar este problema en este espacio CBIT.

Finally, each computer was restarted to see if it saved the time and date, then the internet connection was tested without any problems. In this way, we were able to solve this problem in this CBIT space.
