Solved my mystery and when I asked Ken about this my account is now synced with my Modulations YouTube account, so I tested this by uploading a video I recorded last week to YouTube and moments later here it is on Hive. Impressive.

Oh yeah, there we are. Which Mastodon instance do my posts go out on? How can I hop over there to thank this user? I found their account but they posted nothing.

Mastodon users share your uploads on their own feeds so that their followers/subscribers discover your work. We are also working hard to add syndication to various fediverse communities too, not just specific user pages. The more followers a fediverse user has, the more people can discover your uploads.

Muted? Might it be your device or perhaps the speaker icon in the bottom corner is crossed out?

i got to it and was able to listen...but before that it had said 'muted by moderator'...??
