What role does science play in the spread of the silent virus that causes covid-19 disease?

We have a growing pandemic and although many people knew something like covid-19 could happen, we didn't want to believe it. At the beginning of this macabre event, we mistakenly thought that pandemics only affected poor countries and other considerations that have been mistaken. Today, we see how this virus has affected everyone, poor, rich, without distinction of race or wealth, and it also has nothing to do with specific geographical locations or climates, in conclusion, it affects us all equally.

We have reached a point of no return, where many situations arising from the spread of this virus were underestimated and therefore we have reached a point where science has had a hard time finding a convincing solution.

When many predictions assumed that by this time this problem could be controlled, we have reached the point where the pandemic seems to be out of control.

Would it be correct to assume that the pandemic is accelerating as the days go by?

I think we have reached this point because there are historical points that have made us mishandle this situation, for example in the past, exactly in the flu pandemic that occurred in 2009 in a certain way some alarms were created and some controls were executed to prevent the expansion, however as it was controlled, many of these measures were criticized. Now I feel that we are acting late before measures that can decrease the acceleration, but unfortunately I feel that this slowness can cause a great catastrophe.

Now, if we go straight to the analyses that concern the interest of the present post, which is:

How has science responded to the creation of new vaccines, treatments?

Science has not been able to demonstrate that there is any specific treatment to cure the disease or to stop a little the effects of the disease that this virus produces, however science does not stop working and conducting clinical trials, therefore it is likely that we will end up finding some drug or combination of drugs that are capable of responding to the therapeutic needs of the disease, but in the end we will continue to wait and observe in parallel the development of the disease and its possible development to combat it.

Science has provided various strategies among which are the ability to use drugs already used previously that although they may have other functions can help control the effects of the virus, all these drugs are used based mainly on what is known about the biology and replication of the virus.

Other possible solutions being evaluated by science are to focus on the search for possible inhibitors of interactions between the virus and human proteins. In this search, a powerful in vitro antiviral has been found: PharmaMar's Aplidin, which has already begun clinical trials.

There are more than 135 different vaccine prototypes and at least 30 in different phases of clinical trials. The process of obtaining vaccines has also been accelerated because there has been an unprecedented increase in investment. It is very likely that, in the end, several types of vaccines will come to market. For different uses, for different ages and for different situations.

Regarding vaccines, there are more than 135 different prototypes and at least 30 in different phases of clinical trials. The process of obtaining vaccines has been accelerated also because there has been an unprecedented increase in investment. It is very likely that, in the end, several types of vaccines will come to market. For different uses, for different ages and for different situations.

From my perspective and because of what I have researched the vaccines in their discovery and testing phases, they require some time to be tested, so they are distant testing phases that are being skipped because of the desperation that the same virus has put in us, however we do not know that the remedy is worse than the disease, so if we have already reached this point that it is interesting to wait a little longer so that science has enough time to conduct its clinical trials and test the functioning of the different vaccines.

Your reader friend, if you have reached this point of the reading, tell me how do you think the role of science since the first cases of covid-19 were discovered to solve and stop the spread of the effects of this virus?

There are many things hidden in all this, science has been able to do more, surely, however, something has limited it. We have to wait and see what happens, I know that creating a vaccine takes time, but the process is very slow.

Certainly my friend the hidden things will be revealed in due course, greetings and thank you for commenting.

Hello friend, the truth is that I think there are those who would not benefit from a vaccine or at least not as quickly. Certainly the pharmaceutical companies don't want us to be healthy, so I think if the idea was to cure us they would have already done it.

Certainly the vaccine can be directed to benefit the wealthy, so science in this case does not favor the most unprotected classes, anyway it is necessary to wait and see the new developments with the creation of the new vaccines. Greetings and thank you for commenting

Greetings friend @carlos84, great article that you share with us in this opportunity, it is interesting the challenge that today has all the field of science as for the search of the so longed vaccine that puts an end to this nightmare that scourges the humanity called Covid-19, from the arrival of this virus we have been able to listen to the investigations carried out by in field of science in relation to the behavior of the Covid-19, There is a lot of information that sometimes makes us doubt so many things, I think this is due to the competition that exists between several countries to try to be the main protagonist in the discovery of the vaccine that will stop the Covid-19, we can only hope that science will achieve its goal, since the distribution will be worldwide and not all bodies behave in a similar way and the climatic conditions are not the same in all countries. Success friend.

Likewise, it is not easy to find a vaccine in these times, since it takes a considerable amount of time to find one. Greetings and thanks for sharing
