Is time an illusion? or do we live in an eternal present?

Talking about time in terms of individual philosophy is the result of having the opportunity to deal with a provocative topic such as time, since it generates passion in the debate, where there are different positions and where everyone can give their opinion according to their version and understanding of the subject.

Perhaps time exists for many because we see that everything changes and does not remain the same, we see the sunlight in the morning, and we see how it hides at night, we see how a human being is born, grows, develops, rejuvenates and dies.

But what if many of those changes were not possible within a context where changes were not possible, I believe that under different contexts time would not be in our minds what it is today, but to know the approach we can have of time it is necessary that we can explore in its nature, that is to say in its origin, from what historical facts man began to see time as an entity of such importance as it has today.

Not only time has a place in a philosophical context, so we could ask ourselves:

What would science be without time?

I think we would simply live in an eternal present, and not only that as we would have developed the scientific progress we have thanks to the discovery of so many laws that govern the physical, chemical, biological behavior of our planet and the universe.

We need to be able to challenge our most everyday understanding of time, so if we step out of that comfort zone, we should be constantly opening up a debate about the nature or origin of time and that in turn can be fascinating to anyone who chooses to walk in its exploration.

It is logical to think that we can start exploring time from an everyday feeling, and that when we can talk about its description, we can see that time flows in our mind as that entity that separates the past from the present and future, whose tendency is from the past to the future.

Let's not forget that humanity has been able to live with successes that end up having as meaning a simple perception of what is real, that is to say, we can manage very well with time, but that does not stop it from meaning a possible mental construction that we have been able to use.

As long as our actions continue to see a line of separation between what existed, what exists and what is about to happen, we will always see time as an absolute entity with a linear progress. However, the moment we see reality in a different way, perhaps we can change this perception and see time as something relative and that can change according to our perception.
