How can we as teachers apply keys to mathematics teaching?

As a university professor and secondary school teacher I must say that the general key for a teacher to apply in the teaching of mathematics so that his students can have a meaningful learning is to be able to break with the great paradigm that mathematics is abstract and difficult to learn, and for this there is a way to apply a series of small keys and that the fulfillment of each one of them will fulfill the key or main objective mentioned above.

For our students to feel motivated and stimulated they must feel that mathematics is not difficult, for this it is essential that we as teachers take the subject to explain and contextualize it in ways in which the mathematical argument has an application in real life, with this stimulates students to what their efforts to learn are not on our way, but on the contrary their learning may have an application in real life.

We must encourage teamwork among our students, since many times a student who studies alone may have doubts that can not be clarified with anyone else, however if you manage to study in a group you can share the various ideas in any doubt that arises to any of those who belong to the study group.

One of the reasons why our students have difficulty learning mathematics is because being an exact science there is no room for mistakes, so the student is judged by his mistake, the strategy for this particular case is to praise the student for his efforts regardless of his mistakes, that although corrections are made as necessary for learning, the student can be congratulated for his efforts, so that he can feel motivated and encouraged to continue and not abandon the learning process.

If possible, and depending if there are few students, different ways of teaching should be established, since there are different ways for each student to learn, so there should be individualized teaching if possible.

The use of technology should be used as a supplement that ratifies many of the theories that support any calculation of exercises or respective graphs, all with the aim of stimulating in the student that vision of seeing mathematics beyond the classical way in which it has been taught over time.

In a generalized way we as teachers must generate in the students with the set of keys and tips that are conducive for them to reach the confidence and motivation enough so that in the process they never fail to see the necessary nature of learning mathematics.
