Doubt derived from critical thinking

I think and therefore I am, said Rene Descartes, thinking is the essence of the human being, but it is important to know that we only think if we can doubt, what makes us fall into thinking is doubt.

When do we doubt?

We doubt when something lacks truth, or at least something that lacks demonstrations, so thinking is activated in order to find demonstrable arguments of what we doubt.

We live in a society where everything we learn is by cultural inheritance from our family or friends, so it is very common to accept half-truths as absolute truths without even hesitating to contrast them, it is the research and that scientific character that makes critical thinking a fabulous tool to approach a truth that although it may not become bulky, it is convincing enough to quench our thirst for lack of truth and reasons to believe.

Doubt is the first step after deciding to think critically, after admitting doubt, we can develop practices and strategies that allow us to take the convictions of other people and ourselves as that entity to discuss, debate and doubt with the simple aim of being able to demonstrate that such convictions have a sustainable basis, or that on the contrary we must end up disproving the veracity of what is being proclaimed.
